He drives a car........ in Russia......... he probably just carried on drinking his Vodka not even noticing his car had been thrown in the air. Once he realised, he probably jumped out and had a road rage fit at the guy behind.

So I wonder what the odds were of that happening . :lmao:lmao:lmao

Im always shocked at how many people just drive around with cameras running for no reason in their cars in foreign countries :blink

It's not for no reason. Here's you history lesson.

As cainyboy alluded to, everyone knows Russians love their vodka and it's not just a stereotype. Alcohol abuse is not a social problem - it's a crisis and has been for decades.

1985-1987, Michael Gorbachev imposed strict limits on alcohol sales and mortality rates fell sharply. But after the fall of the soviet union, it became a free for all (again).

Drinking caused more than half of all deaths among Russians aged 15 to 54 in the era following the Soviet collapse.

Per capita alcohol consumption rose from about 5 liters (1.3 gallons) of pure alcohol annually to about 10.5 liters (2.8 gallons). That's a LOT of shots at 40%. And no one gives a thought to driving when they can't even see straight.

So you see why dash-cams are so common?

I do volunteer work for a Montreal drunk driving offenders rehab course and do a lot of research on this stuff.

Hey, there's an upside down car in the middle of the intersection....

Keep driving, don't look, don't slow.

Freaking russians.

you are correct, that's not a lot... but these are statistics. PER CAPITA means the figure is averaged out over the entire population of Russia, including non drinkers, little old ladies, children etc....

IE, the hardcore Russian drinker consumes vastly more than that figure

There are more hardcore drinkers per capita in russia which raises the PER CAPITA consumption figure to more then 3X (EDIT: typo,,, it's 2X ) the north American equivalent

If there were a reliable way to translate that statistic to the individual russian rubby, the figure would be shocking (like more than a 40oz of vodka per day - same as a real hardcore rubby over here... there are just many more of them over there).

I had a CAN of vodka once from Russia. Like a 16oz beer can but vodka instead.

Meaning it was packaged and intended to be a single serving lol

here's a slide from a powerpoint I made on the top 10 most dangerous countries to drive in.

Eastern Europe has the highest per capita alcohol consumption and the relation between that and road fatalities is pretty visible

In Russia, there are almost 1000 fatalities per million cars, which equates to roughly 1 person will die for every 1000 cars on the road..... every year

see why dashcams are so common now?
