Confirmed :lol Summit Point, WV Shenandoah Circuit

:frantic

no class - no instruction - straight track time

same track as my 8/29 TD

There is this bug on my arm and it keeps nibbeling on me....right underneath the wing, it looks like the word "TRACK" :lol apparently I've been bitten...uh - ouch?

gonna go easy in the AM - temps are gonna be a little cool and I don't have tire warmers.

Lol............I'm not jealous.

If i can get the bike sorted before the weather changes.....lol, don't fancy one in the rain.

lol - keep your eyes on the wera board ( I need to figure that out - I go to wera but it doesn't take me to a forum :dunno ) but I need some rearsets - something more sticky than OEM - my foot tends to slip off.

recommended tire pressure for the colder AM temps? I put my psi on the f/r to 28 on my last TD and it stuck like glue the entire day...granted the morning wasn't in the 50'-60's either. BT002R/S

Be careful, next thing you know, you wont have the money to pay rent. LMAO

on thing about Woodcraft, Lean, is that you can use stock OE linkage, shift pedal, brake pedal and footpegs with them. While that is a big plus because you can use stock stuff if you crash and render the woodcraft items useless, the reason I am telling you is because you can buy the rearsets cheaper as a set, without the brake/shift lever and linkage.....use the stock items, and then upgrade when you get more funds.

got the windscreen mounted :punk my girl was over to help with other stuff as well, plus she came to the house fully packed and ready for the track - she is AWESOME

TD #2 - wish me luck. Got some extra GoPro mounts so there will be vids from the front and back...maybe a helmet cam ;)

Wasn't able to do the MCCT, but should be ok - ran outta time - busy tryna drill/dremel out shift forks...yea...drill/dremel :banghead :biggrin

^ LOL moto - yea that's the track...but that vid is freakin OLD man...the track isn't that dirty at all.

:frantic :frantic :punk :punk :frantic :frantic :punk :punk :punk

dear GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stay tuned................................

CCM - I'm going to not add music to some of these vids :thumbup All the vids will be forward facing....you'll see what I see.

It was EXTREMELY cold in the AM. The first couple session were quite hairy. No slips or anything...just having that in your mind makes it kinda sketchy. It rained for a split second around 6am - but not enough to cause any lasting effects on the track. It warmed up...and oh man.................

If anyone watched my youtube vid 8/29 ART I track day - you can see riders come up from behind and pass me or I'll get caught up in traffic, that's a clear sign that I need to work on my corner speed because I'm getting caught in the turns......wait till you see these vids lol...complete opposite.

I was so excited on this one right hander I needed to work on, when I hit the turn perfectly AND dragged knee, I hit the straight pumping my left fist in the air LMAO!!!

we had one guy from our "gang" low side in intermediate group which turned into the bike flipping - he was ok. We had one session red flagged because of another wreck. Another guy from our "gang" got the bump to intermediate.

lol I got some other stuff I need to do right now - but here are some pics

here is the guy in intermediate that low sided

lowside on a left hander - bike flipped when it slid off the track and grabbed dirt

he's already ordered the stuff to fix it. It started right up - no leaks. When I post the vids, if you look close at the ground on the left hander after the long back straight - you'll see the white marks in the track where he slid off.

Yup, judging by what I can see in those pictures, still looks like a death trap. Glad nobody in your group ended up hurt. Glad you had fun too. :cheers

Get OUT from behind your windscreen.. :)
If you drop your head to the side a bit more, you will be able to carry SO MUCH MORE speed at the same lean angle in the turn.

I know it takes time, but it really can help you a lot...

Dont worry Lean, it really comes with time. You also have to be willing to slow down a bit and get yourself comfortable with a different way of riding.

If you can get someone to follow you and video you so you can review at the end of the session, you might be shocked how different you look from what you feel like. lol I know I was. :)

yea it just so happens now, I'm in the same situation on the track that am on the street. When we all ride together, I'm too slow for the fast guys and too fast for the slow guys. So on the track - I spend a lot of time by myself once all the track riders get that separation. This is also clearly evident on the vids. So getting footage would mean I'd either have to ride slower or get bumped to the next level and ride WAY faster to keep up :biggrin

One of yout 'gang' wont take 3 or laps out of the day to help you get better?
We are always a big supporter of spending time trying to help others get better. :) Maybe ask one of them.. you never know.

lol yea I'm sure they would. One guy in advanced wants to ride his stock 250 in beginner group with me to show me it's not the bike...it's the rider :lol

I also think I need to go 1 up and 1 back with my rearsets - but for that I will need adjustable rearsets. In order for me to weight the outside peg, it kind of limits me on how far I can get off the bike.

oh man - there was a 12 year old kid out there riding in the intermediate/advanced group - KILLING people.....on a NSR 50 (loud 2 stroke bike) this kid was simply amazing. I think it was called a NSR 50.
