Double Bubble for a taller rider

Hey guys I'm 6'2" and looking for a new screen to replace the awesome skull windscreen that came with my bike. I've been thinking of a db but I like how I can sit up at highway speeds and the wind blast hits my chest. I'm worried that the double bubbles would blast my face instead.

I know I'm not a giant or anything but is there anyone with some input on this? I wont be doing too much track time and winter is a long ways away so full tuck isn't my main concern. I'm digging the hotbodies grand prix and the hotbodies supersport (standard).

Thanks.

I'm 6'2 and either way you're gona get it. I put a puig "no skulls" db and honestly its just looks unless its a track bike or u go like Hell on the freeway all the time.

I HATED a DB on the street for exactly what you said. OEM it hits you in the chest, and the helmet does its thing against the smooth air from in front of the bike.

With the DB the disturbed wind hits just under the helmet or in the face, and it buffets all over the place and is noisy as fuck.

I hated it.

I use it on track though

If you don't want any wind a touring screen is really the only route. Most think they look horrible though so they are not very popular. that's going to be the only thing to try and keep the wind off you though. the others are designed for more of a tucked position or your average body position on the track. Zero Gravity makes some touring windscreens I believe.

But an oem shape allows the helmet to work as it is designed to take on frontal wind.

DB shape hits the helmet from the bottom.

My opinon and experience at least.

that's my concern, I like the blast on hotter days or highway stints when I sit up a little and the wind takes weight off my core. I guess I'm just wondering if there's a db out there that would give me the best of both worlds. Also, no standard can melt the dash right? Even if it's smoke?

One other question, can anyone compare the light smoke to the dark smoke on the zero gravity shields?

Thanks guys your input is appreciated.

Any windscreen CAN melt the dash, if parked so that it magnifies the sun onto the dash. It is a curved clear surface, that is what they do.

Light smoke is harder to see through than clear... dark is even harder. That is the comparison LOL
