Order a chain with +30 links longer than stock. Stock gearing would be a good starting point if you are just cruising on the street.

For future reference.

8 inch stretch = 16 total additional chain needed.

16 / .625" (5/8 in) link length = 25.6 links.

 

Id go with 530 myself

 

Unnecessary weight for a 600. Good 520s are stronger than OEM 525s and 530s and weigh considerably less. Cheaper too.

I run a 520 chain set. I already went thru one rear sprocket. NOBODY around me had a 520 replacement in stock. I special ordered my original one. Had to end up driving some 45 mins away just to find a used one some race shop happened to have since I had an event to ride to that weekend. Once this sprocket is done I'm redoing the ENTIRE set up back to 525 since that and 530 was the only size all the stores near me had replacements for.... just something to consider. If replacement parts are available in stores near you or is 520 only available to u by mail & patience?

 

I just bought a 520 chain set from 4wheelonline brand is Regina. And it worked well with my oem sprockets. My question now is what size of rims to get I want a wider size compared with my rear oem wheels.

You have OEM 525 sprockets and you put a 520 chain on them? :wtf It may kinda fit on there if the teeth are tapered but there is no way it's seated all the way between the teeth, it will tear them off in no time.

For one, you forced a 520 chain on stock 525 sprockets?
