200 MPH GSXR100

Well it was nice day today so dicided to ride. I was runnng just normal hwy speed(60-70)
i think and happend to looked at the speedo and to my amassement the speedo is reading 200 +MPH.What happend?? could it be the SPEED SENSOR??

unless you put your speedo to read km/h your speedo wont go past 186 mph

I was radared at over 200 MPH before. Oh wait that was my right hand when I was whacking it.

Hell yeah man. They are so small they cut down on the wind resistance. That's how he was able to get it up to 200mph

Well, if that one in the pic is only a 50 and it gets up to 200 then his 100 must go 300!

he didnt say he was goin 200mph... he said he was doin 70-80 when he looked... so maybe it was some kind of error with the speedo or his head

Actually the non US spec bikes will. I had mine pegged at 192mph indicated.

I took the speed sensor off the countershaft and attached it to my Dremel tool and cranked it all the way up and my speedo said I was doing 346mph.

So that means the ECU is what limits the 186mph not the speedo. I always wondered how fast my Dremel was

Guys,I guest am looking for some technical advice thats what speedo reads and
OBVOUSLY something is wrong right but i guest my post is not clear. Speedo is way out
of wak. any idea??Am thinking speed sensor

its a good possibility and a good place to start since its a cheap fix.
