I dropped my GSXR K5 this morning, not on purpose may I add. When I turn the key on the fuel pump kicks in as normal but the instrument screen (clock) is totally blank and the rev counter is stuck on 7000 rpm. The bike will start but with no display, any ideas please.

You broke something

Check the fuses...

I just posted here because it kinda looked like spam, and I want to monitor it...

:dunno

i agree....sounds like spam...

Either way Im quite certain some form of gravel was involved...

It's not spam, I genuinely dropped my bike, thanks for all your help though, not
Ok, so you wanna play this game? Both Knight and I offered suggestions. The reason it looked like spam is because you have 1 post, and it was originally posted in the wrong section of the forum. You posted in the '12+ section, when you even state in your post that you have a K5. So maybe pay attention next time?

Sorry, new to this forum thing, didn't realise I posted it in the wrong place. Don't think the fact I dropped it has anything to do with the clock etc not working, have been looking around this site and it seems quite a common problem. It has not been used for a couple of months, been put to bed for winter. Will investigate a bit more. Thanks everyone.

Start by checking the battery to make sure it has sufficient voltage. Also, check the plug at the instrument panel and make sure it is plugged in all the way. Has the battery been on a tender? How long was it parked?
