At the track I keep a 600 running on every turn and use the 1000 for the straights. Soon as the turn comes up, I stop, get on the 600 to turn, when Im done, I get back on another 1000 until I reach the next turn.

Oh yeah :banghead

Then i reckon i need to move the mode selector over to Raven :spit

has anyone taken into account the geometry dif between the bikes? the dimensions posted previously mean nothing if the riding position varies between bikes. personally, i would never use those overall dimensions (height, width, length, ground clearance) to evaluate any bike. im fairly certain the mirrors are the widest point on the bike anyway, so width is especially meaningless.

if, hypothetically speaking, the 1000 has a longer reach to the bars, or if the clipons are set lower, foot pegs farther back, seat wider, etc, the bike will feel "bigger" even if it is the same outside dimensions. on the topic of "handling slow" perhaps the steering rake/trail or geometry of the swingarm, or weight distribution of the engine are different. it also has a larger rear tire. in addition to the big engine inertia mentioned previously, these parameters can affect the handling greatly, making the 1000 seem "bigger".

that being said, i dont know if the above differences between the 1000 and 600 actually do exist, or how great they are, perhaps someone could find that info.

i do know that the 08 zx10 feels noticably "larger" on the dealer floor than my 600. if i were taller, i might be attracted to this aspect, engine power aside.

just somethin to chew on guys... :cheers
We have a winner.

We have a winner.
We are still talking about FRACTIONS of an inch.

And those differences are not something you can see........ which some people claim to be able to SEE the 1000 as being larger than the 600
