They are mounted sidewaysand would the front piston go lean in mid flight and burn out lol?
Have you heard any WWII aircraft idle? I wouldnt trust those based on sound either.i wouldnt fly a plane whose engine sounded like
bra bra bra bra bra bra bra
and all the mechanic said it was suppossed to sound that way

Its a torque thing - its about how hard the prop pulls not how fast it spins. Harleys have the tractor thing downAirplane engines are more like tractor engines.
