On stands so the tires don't have pressure in the same spot all winter. or just move the bike around every week or so so that it's on diff parts of the tires.

 

On stands, for the reason Corey mentioned and to take weight off the suspension

 

You won't take the weight off the suspension unless you use a swingarm axle stand and a steering stem stand Regular stands support the bike under the fork and swingarm - like the wheels do

 

I keep my bike on stands and start it once a week and spin the tires. My bike may only sit for a month at the most but I still do this.

 

I have hooks into the ceiling raftors... it holds the bike just fine..

matter of fact. its being there not for bout 2 weeks...
