The piece in the center reminds me of the factory SRAD endurance part a little bit. Not that I have one of those laying around, sadly, but I have studied the parts books a fair bit.

I wonder if someone in Japan bought that and added the RC30 lights, to make his very own copy of a Bonneville... It's been years since I bought it and I can't remember anything from the auction description. Not that those usually make much sense to a round-eye'd gaijin, but...

Lol! I would take a crack at that description... there is usually method to madness somewhere between the green tea and coffee gum... anyone who drinks "canned perspiration" (Pocari Sweat soft drink) has got to have some purposeful inspiration driving their thirst!

Here's a tracing of the left side bracket. Major divisions on the paper are one inch, smaller ones are a tenth of an inch. I placed the bracket so the left side holes (mounting holes) are vertical. Small cross marks indicate the approximate centers of the holes. Should be able to convert this to metric and get some idea.

thanks Jeff, can you put up a pic of both ,hole size for foot peg? .what price are you thinking ?

Peg holes are just over 10mm, with a recessed area on the back side of just under 17mm. Postage to Oz would run about $20 for first class and about $25 for Priority, if I can squeeze them into a small flate-rate box. No idea what they are worth, just make an offer if you think you can do something with them.

Those of you that have asked about the RK tail light, I'm not sure it's from an RK. Has the same ugly shape, might be a bit smaller. I sold my Rk and all the parts books, so I can't look it up. It has a custom made mounting bracket on the back for god knows what. It also has a crack that has been repaired by a Japanese salaryman.

I have no idea about the history of this part. I bought it to install on something else that I never got around to building. If you guys can do something with it, make me an offer. I'd even trade for something else I may never get around to using.

Hootguy has first dibs, then oilcooled hoarder, then anybody else. If nothing else, I have a dog that will make a chew toy out of it.

Les, they are designed for 3.5" and 4" race mufflers. The 4" muffler is actually about 3-7/8".

I hope this wasn't a serious post from being offended. My comment was purely an inside commentary having grown up in the culture and embracing those things that I referenced. Certainly did not mean to come across inappropriately.

Pocari Sweat is a refreshing "Gatorade-like" electrolyte drink with a peculiar name... love the stuff.

Whoever made them for Suzuki never intended for them to be taken back apart. That doesn't mean you couldn't rebuild one. Most people wouldn't want to screw with figuring it out, which I understand. I haven't done one yet, since I preferred to use something better, and I doubt I'll ever screw with one like this. I have another one I need to fix and I'll get to that one one of these days, as it's an early Suzuki racing damper that is destined to go on a bike I am restoring, and I don't have a choice there. Gotta use the original one...

If you want a stock one, you'll probably have to plan on rebuilding one. They don't seem to last long. This one got a few years of use and has been holding down a shelf for 20+ years. Never crashed, either.

Or, just buy a new Ohlins of the correct length and be done with it, if you don't mind the different appearance.

Gotcha. From memory these stock units had pressed in end caps - no? I actually have an ohlins unit but am converting this bike to all stock. Kicking myself for selling my stock parts a couple decades ago, try finding a proper 4.5" rear wheel and sprocket hub

Yep, pressed in. Might get them out with a little heat. Kind of like taking a damper rod fork apart. Or, drill one end for a small pin spanner, then machine a new plug. Nothing is impossible, it just depends on how much effort you want to throw at something.

Or, just gut the thing and run it dry. Looks stock...

I'm an idiot. I take stuff apart all the time. I make all sorts of tools, when I need to do something out of the ordinary. Working on an early Fox shock today.

Yep. Buy it all day long. You wouldn't believe all of the oddball crap you can get in Asia. Japan has some REALLY unique stuff, which I won't get into here...
