I'm considering parting out my 98 GSXR 750. I want to purchase 2008 or newer GSXR 600/750 race/track bike.
Understandably I can sell the parts faster if my prices are lower.
My previous post for SRAD parts is still running.
This bike has no title.
:hammer my head ??
This is an awesome bike and I feel terrible even considering doin this :wacko
I'm well aware parting can bring me way more $$'s than selling whole.
Complete bikes on Wera all tricked out just are'nt selling.
:wtf do I do ?

The most valuable things when parting a bike are:
1-Motor
2-Titled frame
3-O.E.M. body work
4-Aftermarket rear shock
I was forced to part my pristine 98/750 race bike and it took me the better part of 2 years to recover what i had into it once the 1st part had been sold.
Mine had pristine matching body work & tank, a full G.M.D. frame & suspension package and many other go-fast goodies. (Penske/Arrow/Protek/Pirelli/White bros)
It really depends on what you have into it that will determine how long it takes to at least break even.
There is little-no demand for an untitled frame and even my G.M.D. frame still sits in storage as do the G.M.D. forks.
It inevitably is a waiting game and one of patience in answering numerous questions only to have folks not come thru on the purchase.
If your patience is plentiful, your investment in it is relatively low and you have reasonable expectations on parts pricing then you might want to give it a go.
What you may wind up with though, is a semi scalped srad sitting in a state of suspended animation waiting to be scrapped or restored?

Even though that bike has no provinence; if it was in Australia I'd be all over it like a rash on a cheap hooker!

Screw that for an idea. If The wizard that is SRADIATOR can't move his bike in 2 years, I'd be sittin on this one for 5 or more.
Braking rotors 500 miles on 'em, GSXR 1000 front end, NRC cover (just left side) Yosh RS-3 Titanium full system, Wheels are mint, not 1 scratch/chip/ding, 17,000 mile motor, Penske rear,Ohlins damper, 2 sets fairings, 2 tails.

Nah, I'm not gonna do it. The bikes too good and bein my 1st dedicated track bike I'm gonna have to keep her for my museum, ya know once I start winnin shit :)
Thanx guys, I'm keepin 'er the way she is.
