I'm new to this forum, or any forum for the matter, and I'm reaching out to the masses for help. My 2000, Gsxr 600 I bought this past summer is having a few issues.

I drove the bike to work one morning with no issues. After work I proceeded home. After 5 minutes on the bike it started making, what sounded like, an engine knock only when i was above 3k to 5k rpms. (I'll link a video) Before this day I hadn't had any issues taking it on long trips and what not. It did that day kick out of gear on me during my trip home. Went to shift into 2nd or 3rd gear, can't remember, when it almost hesitated in a limbo like state as if I was in neutral. Then after maybe 5 seconds it kicked into gear. I've never had this happen before. When I got home I drained my oil and found metal shavings with a magnet. Now I will admit I'm still a novice when it comes to bike mechanics And that's why I'm reaching out. Thanks for any help everyone.

Cheaper to buy a good low mileage engine than diagnose/rebuild what you have. Dont take this the wrong way;but if you have to ask on a forum "whats wrong with my bike" you simply dont have the skills to rebuild your engine and have it be cost effective.
