I just picked up a beautiful K5 with less than 4200 miles. I runs great and is extra clean but............. The more I keep reading all I see are problems with the 05-06 Stack. It won't start, the clutch is jacked up, yada yada yada. Is this what I have to look forward to?

You just bought a rather nice bit of biking history. Now go enjoy it :cheers
I would have to agree, the last K6 I jade was a awesome bike, I was just so used to the Kaw powerband I couldn't get used to it. Having grown as a rider and being able to adapt to to different machines characteristics without discrimination against that manufacturer. Besides, aside from the new CBR's and the R1's the newer bikes don't have the low end and midrange that I love.

Don't know what the hell you are reading.

5 years on the street, 2 years on the racetrack, and now back to a 1/2 a year on the street again and my K5 has been 100% rock solid. Motor still feels as tight and strong as ever and has the broadest and most useable power band I have ever experienced (mine does have a full system and custom mapped).

Can you repeat that in english??

:wtf is a stack? and how do you cop one?

I might want to give that a try.
Lmao. In more urban areas a "stack" is slang for a 1000 and to cop something in a urban area is to buy something.

That concludes today's ebonics lesson. Lol

I dont need no stinking ebonics lesson, I actually knew what it means to cop something, but a stack I never heard of, and I know PLENTY of urban slang, and to me it just fucking sounds stupid, but hey whatever, I guess Im not hip to the fact anymore:lol

+1...OP, please communicate with us, earthlings, without lil wayne morse codes please.

However, I can speak that language too if need be since i did grow up in Philly. "Homie congratz on coping one dem clean jawns, dn't listen to dem haterz son. ride that bike and stunt on dem foolz na mean?" Do i still have my urban bonics street cred?

+1

Talking (even worse typing) like an undereducated individual doesn't earn someone brownie points anywhere but prison and maybe the local ghetto pool hall.

Dude, quit bein fuckin sensitive. If we're on here goin back and forth with playful banter........ It is what it is. No harm no fowl. You asked so I told you. As far as urban slang sounding stupid, it's no different from from dumb ass suburbia or TPT lingo. In regards to you not being hip to the fact anymore............not my fault Sir.

Awesome, here we go with the usual scenario on any forum. A vet approaches a new comer in a sarcastic manner and the new comer defends himself.......the clique jumps on the "you can't talk to one of our respected members that way" BANDWAGON and starts in. It's cool, I got my boy underwear on. Let's go!!
