http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d3cddff870021958f283e9/gear-shiftingI have a 92 gsxr 1100 And I was wondering if someone could tell me if the shift linkage was interchangeable because I can't seem to find a replacement part.
I just wanted to follow up on this...Wheels:
All wheels interchange but you need the correct carrier.
92-93 600, 88-93 750 and 89-93 1100 are "twisted" spokes in 3.5 front and 5.5 rear but the 88-89 750 has a 4.5 rear.
94-95 750 and 94-98 1100 use the "straight" spoke wheels and these are lighter then the "twisted" spokes
You should start a new thread for questions like this. No the katana harness is not a clean swap... A brand new wire harness for the 91 750 is listed at $215.14 on cheapcycleparts.com... That is not a bad deal and there may be better ones out there... If I were you I'd just get a new one...Will a 89 katana 750 wiring harness work on a 91 gsxr 750 with proper ecu?
At the time that I figured out the S1K shock worked and posted the news here on gixxer.com there were a lot of other shocks in circulation on ebay listed as 2009-2011 S1kRR OEM... Maybe they were listed incorrectly but there were enough of them that it threw me off. Now it has become somewhat apparent to me that the OEM BMW S1000RR rear shock is the same Sachs triple clicker from 2009-2014. Happy hunting.
I just wanted to follow up on this...
I learned that the 94-98 GSX-R1100 straight spoke wheel + cush drive and spacers (94-98) does work for the 88-92 GSX-R750 as mentioned (your 88-92 sprocket bolts right up). However, the hub is slightly offset to the right... this is non correctable with spacers/washers as it utilizes a wider cush drive and offsets the entire rim right by roughly 1cm. This is fine if you use the OEM size 170/60 rear tire but if you want to run a 180 you would have to alter the brake stabilizer bar to allow more clearance for the tire. There is also the issue of wheel alignment but I am not sure how noticeably it will affect the handling of the motorcycle...
the 90 frame allows swingarm alignment , handling is effected for street
