I have a 2002 GSXR-750. I'm getting a slight pop noise when I take off sometimes not all the time my chain and sprockets have roughly 5700 miles on them my rear sprocket is aligned the chain and sprockets have been cleaned none of the teeth are messed up in anyway chain slack is at 25mm and I've set chain slack in other areas no difference with the pop noise. Its not consistent and I don't hear it at low speeds only when I take off from a stop ill get a slight pop. Also I've checked the chain every link looks and feels good. I have recently changed my front sprocket from a -1 back to stock the stock tooth size was on my bike roughly 500 miles and I switched it out for the -1 tooth roughly 5k miles I decided to change it back cause I didn't like it. Never noticed a pop or anything until then could it be the newer front sprocket causing this slight pop?? I've been trying everything I could think of. Help me please.... I've put a lot of money in this bike and I maintain it extremely well.

Don't think they care the message wasn't very long pretty much its within there acceptable limits i guess. I do have 1 more question... I have 17t front (stock) and 44t rear (stock 42t) I was wondering rpm change just by 1t more in the rear so 17/45..... ratio would be 2.64 ...right now it's 2.58.. im not sure how to get the rpm rise from this... if it's not a big change I'm going too order the JT sprockets and EK chain .. also JT front sprocket with or without the rubber on each side??

It will give you a little more off the line. Also at cruising speed a little more response. The only negative is the rpm will be a little higher and gas mileage will drop a tiny bit.
I'm old school and prefer the all steel plain Jane sprockets personally, but to each their own.
Pretty much just trying to figure out why someone would use the rubber front sprocket and wouldn't use the rubber front sprocket i hear it helps with noise i don't care about and i hear its a cushion for the chain to reduce stress and wear. But I have no idea honestly never seen rubber on a sprocket before
I JUST WANT EVERYONE IN THIS FOURM TO KNOW THIS GUY (DBK81) IS A GENIUS... I keep all my old parts to any motorcycle I work on because u never know what u may need well I went threw old sprockets everyone of them except 1 was infact JT SPROCKETS.. well I just tried 2 of these sprockets and it was a extremely tight fit actually had to make it go on and make it come off the other superlite are very sloppy and just go on without trying and I was looking at it every single spline has a gap on all 3 sides with the superlite sprocket on there gap all the way every single spline superlite is trash in my opinion and for my bike I bought them because my cousin and my buddies buy them no issue zx10r 2 of them zzr1200 and triumph 955i all did not have a issue with superlite I did so live and u learn don't put superlite on a gixxer ?? thanks all of you guys for helping me out and whoever sent that video thanks it helped for sure who knew lol.. my splines didn't get hurt so thats the good news.....

Yeah the splines on the superlite are slightly more pointed and there's play and when I down shit my sprocket moves back when I take off it moves forward causing the tap/pop noise im hearing its not loud but it did wear my spacer down because of the play so new nut washer sprockets and chain why not was 210 dollars along with wheel bearing radiator fluid change plug change and air filter change i have alot of work to do. But I'm very glad that it was as simple as that. I need to check my cousins sprocket to see if it does that as well his nut actually came off around 60 mph ? luckily nothing bad happened it didn't mess up the threads or anything ordered new lock washer and think it was 33 dollars on partzilla.com but I'm thinking maybe it was because the sprocket has play and its loosening the nut ? ..
Zoom in on the splines you will see the top sprocket splines are slightly more pointed and the bottom is slightly thicker at the top of the spline top is superlite bottom is jt top has play bottom doesn't have play i mean zero tolerance ? actually had to use some muscle to get it on and off.
Cousins zx10r has spline play as well with the superlite sprocket set up. He wants to change just the front to a JT
