Hello all, i know this is a gixxer forum but i need help on choosing my next bike. I've been riding a ninja 300 for about 2 season now & i want to move up to a 600. The GSXR & the CBR are my 2 choices that I've narrowed it down to. A few things i would like to know is which is faster, better for street use, (probably will never be at a track) which has better low end and mid range and high end speed. Just things like that basically. I've looked on YouTube for help deciding but it is mostly nothing helpful there besides fanboys of each manufacturer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you wanna know which is faster and more powerful?

They're both 600s, low-end and 600 is practically an oxymoron. Look at the Kawasaki 636 if you want a 600 with more low-end, or a GSXR 750.
Also, go ride them, that's going to give you a far better idea which bike is better. I thought the 3rd gen ZX10R was the bike I wanted based on reviews and power, that is until I rode one and realized I didn't like it at all.

What about the new R6? It's very pretty. Mind you, all sportbikes are pretty except for the zx14. Now that's ugly.

This is a gsxr forum. Of course we are going to recommend a gix. They are the best.
I dont really want a R6.. heard they were mostly track bickes and not so ideal for street. Although of course it can be riden on the street.

Just go pick up a GSXR 600 that is clean and low miles. Keep in mind the 06-08 models I believe had some charging system issues. All the 600's are pretty similar with HP and torque. Suzuki probably being the most comfortable and price forgiving.

What did they tell you over on the CBR site?

I could say the same for all 600s, and in fact for pretty much all supersports. Don't believe what some dumbass spouts, go ride it yourself and you'll find out if you think it's meant for street riding. There are far too many R6 on the street for such nonsense to be true.

Both bikes will get you dead quick, get the gixxer and die pretty. Test ride them, because they are significantly different in behavior and fit. Me and Honda street ain't friends, I feel bent up squeezing on those CBRs. I'm 6'4" 220.

GSX-R because the Honda doesn't have a slipper clutch and the Honda's seat is like sitting on a concrete pad.

I have riden the CBR600 on the track, it's a fantastic bike so smooth and handles great. I'll still go for the GSXR however because the CBR is so small/tiny for road use.
