It's not sounding good. I just read another report that said he's expected to have serious and permanent brain damage.

Yeah heard about this on the radio at work today, as Geek said they also reported he's likely to have permanent brain damage.

Hoping for the best for him but it sure doesn't sound good.

This is fucking horrible. Nicky is an amazing person, all around. Had the pleasure of meeting him, and he is just a cool, down to Earth guy.

Anyone who has been on this site for a while knows I am a huge Nicky Hayden fan, and this news hit me hard.

Get well Nicky...

Such a terrible tragedy. I met him at the motoGP in Laguna 9 years ago, seemed like a really down to earth guy. It just goes to show how fragile life is, everything you are can be gone in an instant (I know he hasn't passed). It must be so hard for his family right now. This reminds me of Michael Schumacher... :(

It's only changing in the fact he's not in an induced coma, it unfortunately doesnt change the injuries he's suffered.

BBC radio reported he was in intensive care and had suffered several serious physical injuries along with sustaining serious cerebral trauma, I'll take that as accurate.

I've never understood what these fuckers gained from releasing this 'Fake news' shit, is a bit of ad revenue worth so much? or am I naive and they can make serious money out of it?.

And not in a group. That makes the scenario less unbelievable. But I agree it doesn't change the situation..... he's in really bad shape and not out of the woods yet.

I've been out of the loop and just heard today and I'm very upset about it. Ruined my day to hear the news. I've always loved that guy win or lose. :sad

It's so sad to do something as crazy as race motorcycles your whole life and then have a bicycle ride do you in.

It's not fair.
