No such thing a a "thread-jack" in my vocabulary... I see all of it as either relative, informative or entertaining... all commentary and corollary meanderings sanctioned here. ;)

Right oh! Yep - It all seemed valuable stuff, especially the quick n' dirty RK mod - Thanks JR

FWIW - I didn't have a whole lotta' luck finding tech and parts support for the 91/92 heads, I suppose it's because (besides the "tidily wink" effect) they were only made for the two years before WC's came out and what was made quickly left production.

Agree with all your views, just a little doubt to be able to reach 180kgs for street ride w/out an huge amount of $$$. To resume my thinking on driveability and power delivery, in my experience i always found that 1100s feed the soul, 750s literally eat your brain. Riding off the first i feel fresh as a young tuna, while going off from a 750 ride i end up wandering like a drunk hobo for long minutes...so peaky machines, jesus christ..you know, my everyday commuter is a full breathing B12 and i'm used to that "hard-flat pushing"..riding 750 twice a month, well it just sucks your brain dry

Looking back, I uncharacteristically neglected to photobomb the snot out of this thread... so here it is from pick-up to wheel-in to assess-as-is to proposed-dry-fitting-for-inspiration to strip-down-start...

Next will be an equally uncharacteristic colloquiallism as I share my initial W-T-F discovery of just how much C-R-A-P a "stock" MK II machine carries with all it's over-stuffed/mass-produced trimmings-ad-nauseum holding these old steeds against the earth like a beast-of-burden in the third-world...

I'm thinking that's about 30 pounds of crap to reconsider, right there...

So, with the additional big numbers from stuff like the USD -vs- RSU forks... well... I don't think I want another race-harness setup on total-loss, and lights and winkers would be nice... heck, may have to keep the bracket (what a chunk) and stock '90 nose (it's in such great shape!) my primary improvements may just be forks back to earlier units, maybe EBC Pro-lites, and leave off the truly unnecessary clunky stuff so it's still "practical". Do a chain/sprocket conversion kit... hollow the Yoshi can innards and straight-baffle it... slap it all together and get it running.

On another point ot discovery... although cans are the same, one of the Yoshi headers turns out to be 38mm downtubes -vs- 35mm on the other, with same collector. Hmmm... better go with the 38mm set. :D

I just typed a long-winded reply on what I'd do.

I hit the mystery key on my keyboard that wipes out hours of typing in a single stroke, thus everything I've done this morning since getting up has been lost to posterity.

When I quit throwing things, I might try again.

F***!

I HAVE THAT KEY on my work laptop!!! WTH is up with THAT!?!? To this day, I can't figure out what/how I inadvertently do it... but I THINK it has to do with my "touch-mouse pad" and another key near my left "shift" key when they coincide... maybe the Fn key or Ctrl key... and there is NO UNDO! THAT's the real issue! DOH!
