First, my apologies if this is the wrong thread; not sure if it belongs in 600 specific. Looking at a cosmetically flawless/factory 04 GSXR 600 with 15xxx. I was pretty set on a CBR600rr same miles for 3500. But came across this 04 for only 2700. I'm located in Maine but is this a good deal? Up to date on maintenance needs nothing. Would you consider this a good deal or this what there selling for?

They go for $3,000 to $4,000 here on the west coast with the super nice ones going for as high as $5,000. So ya, If it is in good condition I would say $2,500 is what I would offer him but $2,700 is a good price. Just make sure it hasn't been raced or crashed if you can.

04 Suzuki gsxr 600
Here's the GSXR. I'll try to upload extra photos tomorrow but it's flawless. The CBR is also an 04 maintained very well. So in a dilemma. Pay 2700$ or pay 3500$.
More than likely the bike in that CL ad has been crashed. That is evidenced by the non-OEM fairing color scheme.

The fact that it says SRAD on the front fairing is also strange, as the GSX-R hasn't been known as an SRAD since 2000.

I would be leery of it. Make sure you chexk it out good.

And be sure to measure the wheelbase. The K4/K5 600/750 had a weak steering neck, and would bend out of spec in even light front end crashes.

I'll ask him; how is the color scheme not oem? Is the overall color of the bike not one that was offered?

Factory flawless, with shitty eBay Chinese plastics...:spit

never heard about this before, maybe you're talking about k1-k3 600/750 and k1-k2 1000s? where did you get that info about k4-k5, maybe i missed something?
Nope...

K3/K4 1000 & K4/K5 600/750.

The steering necks tweak out of spec very easily. I got that info from owning (and crashing) a few, and from working on bikes that were crashed on both the street and track, and having to take them to GMD Computrack for measuring and straightening

^^^good info, thanks. which gsxr is the sturdiest?
From the ones I have ridden (and crashed), the K1/K2 seem to be the most robust.

My K6 1000 got crashed a few times, and never had a frame issue until the last wreck, but that was a total bike destroyer. I never crashed my K6 600, but the ones I have fixed seem pretty stout as well. The newer 1000's seem to be able to take a beating.

Definitely agree with Anthony D...Not factory fairings, they probably dropped it and broke some stuff, might be nothing seeing as mine has been dropped twice and is still in pretty good condition with over 31k miles. Just make sure you check it out down to the nitty gritty before you hand over any money.
