Hey if anyone out there knows the years that EFI was first used on the GSXR1000,1300 Please let me know. Thanks, Bonesf16
Since their inception.

I win.

The 2000 750 was the platform they built the original, 2001, 1000 off of.
Of course they beefed it up and such but it's been injected it's whole life.

FI started on GSXRs with the 1999 750 (SRAD style) and hit the 600s in 2001.

Can we just simplify this.

The 1000 came out in 2001

The Hayabusa came out in either full release or pre-production in 1998 I think, I can't remember.

Bottom line every single one of them is FI, none of either of them had a carb on them. OK?

Man this is a stupid thread. The question was answered with the very first reply.

by the way. 750 went injected in 99 not 98.

WRONG!!!!! In the US, the first fuel injected GSXR was in 1998. There were no changes in the 99 model other than color. EDIT: There was one change; the well nuts that held the riders seat were changed from aluminum to steel.

Get your facts straight before trying to correct people...

From www.suzukicycles.org :

GSX-R750

1998 Suzuki year code: W

Electronic fuel injection appeared for the first time on a GSX-R with large 46 mm throttle bodies together with a steering damper as standard, a five mm shorter wheelbase, altered internal and external gear ratios, altered chassis, suspension and brakes, internal engine mods and massive airbox. Power was up to 135 hp. An absolute gem to ride. Suzuki made a class-leading sportsbike even better.
