wether he should have tried to drive off or not may be slightly open for debate but i did notice a few things.
1. the cop never verbally told him anything as he got into the car to drive off. as far as the retard knew, the cop was just standing there doing paperwork.
2. the cop goes well out of his way to then position himself in front of the vehicle thus causing a serious officer safety situation.
3. once the vehicle start creeping forward, the cop then INTENTIONALLY places his foot directly in front of the tire.
4. the cop was able to remove his foot from said tire even though it was allegedly under said tire.
5. the cop was walking just fine and appeared to be uninjured as he punched the window, pulled the retard out and assisted him to the ground.
6. the cop starts to limp once he sees that people are now watching/taping.
7. the retard didnt assault the officer, the officer placed himself in a situation that he then had to exaggerate in order to justify his actions.
8. the situation was not necessary and the officer was the reason that the situation escalated.
9. with that tape, there is NO WAY that the guy gets convicted of any type of battery or adw or anything else for that matter.

You sir are Dumb. You'd have to fucking retard to try and run over a cop. The cop put himself in front of the car to keep him from leaving or it is another charge if the dumb ass tries to run him over. Also police do random paperwork standing in the street for no reason now huh? :banghead

Pretty standard. He was trying to make sure the person didnt try to leave. He COULD have been a real dick and ordered the dude back out of his car when he tried to get in due to safety concerns. He probably assumed the dude would sit there and take his ticket like a normal human
He got nudged, and moved back some, but the guy kept moving forward. Yup.

The driver DID Intentionally hit the cop. By definition that is assault. Did the cop exaggerate his pain? that is arguable, but not whether the dude actually pushed him with the car or hit him with it
The cop was doing his job. The DRIVER escalated it by not sitting there and waiting for his ticket. The cop did what he should have to detain the guy within reason without going overboard and forcing the issue which would cause most of you cop hating jacklegs to be up in arms about that instead. He tried to stay civil.
He will certainly be convicted of assault on an officer. If I sat on the jury and most other normal people sat on that jury would absolutely convict.

So if there is a shooting the officer is at fault for going into a neighborhood he knows to have ongoing violence? Do firefighters create a personal safety hazard by going into burning buildings?
Yeah, part of police duty is to be the one in the line of fire, to deal with the guy with a gun, etc. To do otherwise is dereliction of duty.
Adrenaline will do that to you. People get shot and still walk around fine for a bit, until things calm down. Reagan was shot and didn't even know it.
Situation calmer, adrenaline goes away, pain hits, and hard.

OR... The asshole trying to run from a ticket was the reason.

Don't be an entitled asshole who thinks he can park where he wants because of the car he drives, then you don't have to worry about "the tax man". It's amazing how some people will find something wrong with the police regardless of circumstances or laws. Ignorant.

you are joking right?cop was an asshole from what i could see....couldve easily been avoided if the cop moved back....its called mail the ticket to the address that you get from running the vin or plate....guess a jealous cop wanted to "enforce" his power or whatever....not saying the driver was any better tho....oh well....
