It's not the size of the sig that counts, it's..................oh wait:shifty

:lol

Is that sig envy I'm detecting? :D

It's a sig I use from a different forum and I didn't think to downsize it. I guess if someone *cough*MOD*cough* yells at me, I'll make it smaller. :lol
Consider this yelling. 500 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. :wait

Get a 1K and never be bored again. I won't even touch my 06 gix750 on the street its no fun.
untrue (in my case at least)
the acceleration on my 1K doesn't do anything for me. You just get used to it to the point where it isn't a thrill anymore.

On the track, when we hit the straights, I reel-in and spit out most everything that had the same exit speed out of the last turn.

But as has been said, getting the bike down, getting your lines down, getting used to hanging off the side..... getting BETTER on the track is one thrill after another, over and over, all day long. Like an adrenaline orgasm.

You just can't get bored with that.

LMAO, i like how everytime on this forum theres a question asked the answer is take it to the track, blah blah blah, i raced a few races, im no where as fast as most the guys on this forum, in a race at roebling roads, Moto Joe would probably lap me more then once, Yes the bikes are designed after race bikes, but idk where yall bought yours but my suzuki dealership installed headlights, blinkers, and taillights, therefore making mine a STREET bike, which is where i ride it the most, ill do a couple trackdays, but i ride just about daily back and forth to work, sometimes with my girl as we work in the same area, but yeah riding back and forth to work or even on the street in general, can get a little boring, and im sure it would feel the same with a liter bike even a busa, eventually you get use to the power.. on the street, according to the people on this forum, if you ride a mile over the speed limit your a squid and a idiot, unless your ghostrider then your god, yes to get the most out of the bike take it to a track, but calling the op a idiot and shit for what he said is basically the truth, bikes boring on the street is, just uncalled for.. but i dont expect anything else from the "members" of GDC

I see your point.

OP: get a turbo busa, then stretch / slam it, ride in short & flip-flops and forget all about learning to ride what you have safely / properly.

There's another forum for that btw :dissapointed

I guess we're all just idiots for trying to get better in the environment that ALL sportbikes were actually designed for. His point after all, was he's bored. What has been said IS the logical / proper solution to his issue.

oh i see this is racing only gixxer.com............ he didnt ask about anything you just said, he just asked what should he do next, being called a dumbass IS the logical / poper solution.. ti ride his bike 5-6 times a year at a track day??? yeah he will defenintly hone his skills better on day at a track then all year on the street, im all for track riding, but some and ill go as far as most people just cant go to track days every other weekend

ive never seen where gixxer.com ever said you have to be a track rider/; racer only to enjoy this forum... but its what its turned into... way different then when i joined on 04

oh i see this is racing only gixxer.com............
I've never raced in my life :facepalm

No, OP didn't ask about track days. He said he finds his 600 boring for acceleration and referred to bling-ing out his mustang to make it go faster. If he had a 1000, he'd soon find himself in the same boat again.

Squids bolt in straight lines or fly down highways at stupid high speeds because that's all they can do and I would find that boring too. Solution... make it go faster??????

So GDC advocates using what he has in a non-boring way. (otherwise, buy a Vmax or a busa)

A stock 600 with a decent rider will make any un-skilled litrebike rider look like an idiot unless you're on an an interstate.

So where would you put YOUR money. A turbo? Bigger engine? Or riding better? And where is anyone going to become a better rider without killing himself or anyone else?

Turbo busa with a wet and a big bore kit...naaaaaa......That'll be boring in a month too....calling a bike boring when its never been used for what its supposed to be used for is silly. That's for anyone getting butt hurt about the track folks.....and no I'm not one that can afford to get to willow or laguna every weekend either.

I hate to "agree" with LeSkid, but you are way the fuck off.

If he is riding in such a manner that he is bored with his 600 then he just simply needs to learn how to ride it. Period. He is doing something wrong.

It has nothing to do with racing and track days, but IF he was to do a track day or a race school he would learn how to ride the bike he bought, as well as becoming a better rider, as well as find new excitement in his machine. He doesnt have to go to a track day every weekend, HE JUST HAS TO GO ONCE to learn how to ride the bike.

throwing speed parts at a 600 trying to make it straight line fast is just fucking rediculous.

They are right.

He said he is bored with his bike. Riding it on the street becomes boring, no matter what you have done to it. I have an R1 with about $15k worth of mods to it and I STILL get bored with it on the street.

No "take it to the track" isnt the answer to every question. But it IS the answer to the OP's question of how to cure his boredom.

He can change the gearing and that will excite him with his bike for 2, maybe 3 days. Then he can put on a full exhaust, a Power Commander, a race filter, custom map etc and that will get him another 3, maybe 4 days of excitement. No matter WHAT you do to a street bike you will eventually get bored with it.

It is human nature. We adapt to speed. You increase the speed (or ability to make speed), your body adapts to it. That is how people get faster.

Or...he could leave his bike AS IS, not spend a DIME on any more gadgets to make it go faster and take it to the race track...and enjoy it...for years...as is. :thumbup

Done. But, now everyone else's looks longer. Damn, man, you took away my size advantage. :sad

Oh well, I guess I have to make it up with my personality. :spit
we could always just go camping :shifty

Please dont get me wrong, im not saying dont go to a track or anything like that... i havent took my bike because ive always been one to think "if i cant my bike down the straight for the first time and chuck it into the first corner and ball it up and be ok with it then i dont need to go to the track, because it could happen" i just owe to much right now, maybe in april when my group has the first trackday planned out at willow, ill be ready and im buying some plastics to help me with my decision, but im talking more to the people calling the op a dumbass, or the go get the turbo busa and crap like that, yeah a trackday will show you things you never knew on a street, lean angles and such, but face it most and ill go as high as 90% of these sport bikes never hit a track, so he got bored we should guide him like some did, others just flame away, and thats why we have tens of thousands of members, yet only a few hundred really post,

I don't know if it's the Vicodin that i'm on our your punctuation, but I didn't understand a single thing you just said lol.
