go for a replacement,,,,that build demands it,,LOL...no welding shit on a mint project like that..
yeah , the idea is to suggest other alternaitives to the suggested ones -so
by mentioning welding means buy a new one

In the May issue of Performance Bikes, they had a piece about Guy martin's Martek-framed 1100 turbo. He had stripped the paint from the engine and left it bare - it looked pretty good, so you may want to check it out before popping the top off that rattle-can of black paint!

Yours looks great, so you went in the right direction IMO. Mine at the nude motor point, and finished with paint.......but I did a complete rebuild if you recall (http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268644&highlight=engine+resto). :cheers Mike

Ya that looks great!

For the '90 1100 i'm gonna repaint the engine the right colour. But as this is a frankengixxer I took more artistical license in colours.

Got the front fairing stay back from the powder coaters.
