it will make the bike run richer in the lower gears, as it will be giving the bike the ram air compensation for 6th gear all the time.

I can pretty much guarantee ya, nothing is going to be done until there is dyno proof that one is better than the other :dissapointed

But hopefully we can get that settled soon. I've got some connectors on the way, so I can put together a switchable 5th/6th gear application and take it to the dyno

Duff,
The only thing is I'm not much concerned with hp on dyno at full throttle there may not be any. From what I've read the difference is in part throttle applications, more street riding , throttle response improvement. If your going to test that by all means post up your findings.

if you look at the charts that Ridge racer was kind enough to post up you will see there is no timing difference at wide open throttle, however there is great big differences in the midrange.

It would have to be tested at part throttle, in the midrange. Those kind of dyno sheets are rarely seen because all people seem to care about is peak power. So the numbers may be pretty low, but it will be an honest test.

Let me know when you are ready Duff. It's getting so cold now it's not even worth it to take the bike with me when i go out of town :(

screw that. i rode to work monday morning and it was 32 degrees...lol I was like ok this is stupid, I am cold.

I am in Jackson, Tn right now and looks like a high of 58 all week, with lots of rain and lows into the lower 30's. Thats not fun for me.

Hopefull should have the connectors this week. Ordered them on the 30th, if they don't get here this week I'm gonna be a lil pissed... :wait

Motty,RidgeRacer,
You both seem to be in the know on the this subject. Question I have where I live I can onky find 8.25Kilo Ohm resister, will this work or must it be 8.20 Kilo Ohm? Thanks
That is less than a 1% difference. Even if you could find an 8.2k resistor it would probably be a common +/- 5% type. I haven't seen the schematic of the circuit it is being used in so I really can't say exactly but just as a general principle being within +/-1% is generally considered acceptable.

Hurry up already bro!! I aint getting any younger! :wait

It's not like I have all winter or anything. :lol
Actually I do, that sucks.

I have 3 resistors left over. The pack I bought had 4 in them. Want one?
Thanks Jamve, very nice to make the offer. I have the earlier switchable & I'm going to wait to see how this turns out & get a new one that will give me my gear readout back. I want to run at Maxton some more so I'm hoping to get red of the limiter, get the 6th gear map, & have my readout back. I'm sure someone will have it before spring. Thanks again for the offer. :cheers

Hey Oldfart01 thats an excellent "quote,or thought for the day about meeting people halfway and some are like slinkys...you mind if I borrow that?
Feel free. :lol

So Jeff... How much longer till I should be expecting a do it yourselfer kit from your site :wait Since it takes so long to toss two connectors, 6 pins and 6 rubber grommets in to an envelope to ship out and all. Ordered on the 28th, still haven't received anything
