I dont know what kind of bull you guys are trying to do but its not very cool. I was one of the winners of the August giveaway. I have been pm'ing administrators for the past months and posting in the giveaway forum and have only gotten responses from the other two people that won but have not gotten anything. If you are not going to do it just tell me then I will stop worrying about it. Thanks.

It's called chain of command.
Admins have to deal with other technical issues, mods are actually out in the forum and very active, admins have so much shit going on it's probably easier to get to them through the mods. There's no telling how much crap the admins get PMed or E-mailed on a daily basis.

No, if sponsors screw over site members then they shouldn't be sponsors here any longer and the site admins should warn members not to give them business. Go back and read my very first post on this thread and I explain how that should work.

:scratch i add entertainment. this world revolves off drama. im a good drama starter. gdc is the only board i visit that always allows constant drama, and you (joe) are one of the biggest e-ego's i have seen. any chance i get at pushing your buttons, i do so. its funny to watch you talk down to people like you are the king. i also think its funny to watch people get bent out of shape about shit they read on teh internet.

I don't get that impression of Joe. I think he takes eing a moderator seriously, and MAYBE too seriously. Personally, I'd not want to be a mod. It just means that you're held to a different standard. It's like being at the end of a firing line, and everybody wants to shoot criticism at you.
I've met Joe in person and rode with him. He's a pretty average "joe," really.
He doesn't come across with any sort of attitude or anything at all.

i am a mod at a few places, but dont take it seriously. he is WAY to serious about being a mod and brags about his powers. i dont see any other mods on here like that. its not hard to be a mod, and should not be taken seriously. its not a job that you get payed for, so what the worst that can happen.

keep in mind that NJ took care of this long before joe came in here. but he decided that he had to add his 2 pennys and talk down to the poster, and who ever else said that he should get the prize.

I have not talked "down" to anyone, in the sense that I am better than them. I just happen to be very matter of fact. Some people cant take that. Some can. I am probably the ONLY mod that still gets in debates, no matter how heated, and lets them go as far as I do. I feel that as a moderator I am still entitled to be me, and have my own opinions.
But I also DO take being a mod very seriously. Just like a "leader" or whatever they call it of a bike club. This is our clubhouse, and I am one of the few charged with keeping it straight. So yeah, I do take it seriously, and take offense to people bashing the place, when in my opinion this is one of the most easy going forums in the bike world. We pride outselves on not over moderating, but letting the users ultimately decide what the experience hear is. Of course we do have to do some steering..... but as you even stated, we let ALOT slide here.
Go over to GSXR, and see how Nazi their mod staff is...... then let me know how "too serious" I take it.
And how exactly did "nj had it handled"? He simply said it has been posted in the mod section.
What you DONT know is in other times things like this has been posted, they instruct us to inform what the deal is. I have already spoken with them in the past on what the deal was and added what I was told, as well as my personal opinion on it........ which I am entitled to do.

I have a pretty good idea what the site sold for......somebody made bank.He has a reason to want his stuff. I agree.
But bashing the site, is not the way to go about it, especially when you havn't gone to any real extent to get ahold of the site staff.
I know he has not, as if he had he would at LEAST have an answer that would have suffised for the time being.
And bashing the site, over something you get for free....... is hilarious to me. "running to the bank with the $$$ from advertising and sponsors" Do you really think this site is making that much money? :lol Im sure the site is not taking a loss, but I seriously doubt anyone is getting rich, or even making a significant income off of it
