Been riding Sportecs and Diablo Corsas for the last few years now, and finally got to try a bike with Pilot Powers. Everything I've been hearing is right. Great tires! The more triangular profile is beautiful. Rode them on an '05 750 with stock suspension tuning...turn in almost telepathic. Sticky like glue. I can't imagine what they'll be like on my '04 which has the suspension tuned up perfect. If you are considering getting these tires and enjoy cornering as much as I do, get 'em! You hear how Edwards was running something like only 2-3 seconds slower on them vs. race tires? Crazy! Who else runs and loves these buns?
Pilot Powers, what was I missing?

Off hand how much they running a set?
I'm running my Bridges (OEMS 03 1K) because I got a set for the price of less than a front.

I've just fitted the 2CT's on the bike, got to say that at the track they were fucking superb, once up to temp they do exacly what you ask. The thing i like about them is that they give me more confidence at the front as the outside of the front tyre is the softest compound of both the front and rear tyre.
There are 3 different compounds of rubber used for the tyres rather than one. The middle of the rear tyre is the hardest compound, the outside of the rear tyre and the middle of the front tyre are the same compound and the outside of the front is the softest compound.

I put them on my bike, loaded it up in my truck and put the first mile on them at the track. Love those tires.
The pilot powers are definitely the shiz. Had them on my 'Busa and it would corner as fast as my Gixxer with the crappy stock Bridgestones. I can't wait to burn these greasy slippery pieces of scare the crap out of you tires off the bike and get some PP's on it.

I bought my bike not too long ago, and it came with Tomahawks. I thought they were decent, until I got a set of Pilot Powers. The difference is like night and day, and that's a bit of an understatement. I have so much more confidence while turning now. I love em.

The Michelins on the GP bikes are 60 degrees lean/dry and 45 degrees lean/wet!! hmy
It'll be awesome when that tire technology trickles down 100% to the production world. But 51/42 on the tires we can actually buy ain't bad neither.unk
Which Michelins are the ones witht he dual compound? I am thinking of getting a set of those when my stock Bridgestone Rattleshacks go away (may be well before they wear down, too..heh)

Edwards was around 10 seconds off race lap times on the Power 2CTs, not 2-3 Still damn good for a street tire compared to custom made race slicks. His main issue was that those 240-ish RWHP spun up the rear all the damn time...

Around 10? Right on. That makes more sense. All I know is when my DC's are done I'm getting some Michelins.
