I need to get a couple helmets, one for me and my fiance and need to know which have the best cooling because I live in FL and yes, its hot down here.

If you guys have any links where this was discussed and can point me in the way id appreciate because the Search button hates me.

Shoei X-11 has the best vents. After that Suomy. If you want quiet and great vents you go with Schubert, but they are pricey and come with a dark visor inside the helmet though. Very cool!

Hi if you want the best cooling effect i would use a half helmet now if that is not what your looking for then a helmet that raises from the chin forgot the name but someone should know it, but if your looking for a full face then any top of the line brand should work example, shoei x-11 or Rf1000, arai rx7, signet, corsair, Soumy, shark, ogk but remeber with vents come with wind turbulence in your helmet which can be a burden to some ...also you dont need to go high end on helmet im sure there are helmet low end but that on you if you are worried about it if not then no problem....

Another little fact they don't mention in that article is the X-Eleven is designed a little tighter than our normal sizes due to it being our race spec helmet. This little extra snugness helps fight movement and lifting on your head at higher speeds. Some find this uncomfortable and go up one size however we always recommend wearing the smallest size you can that doesn't give you a headache. The person who wrote the article should have tried swapping the cheek pads for 31mm pads and I bet the large would have fit him great.

Bro Icon products are junk, except their leather jackets. I remember seeing a member on this board had a wreck and his helmet split and the whole face portion seperated.

Here ya go...see that point, friend had to pull that out of my eye lid! Talkin about VERY close loosing my eye..had 5 stitches in my eye lid and 6 above my eye below my eye brow where that point went though my eye lid somehow. Hoever I do have to say that it did do its job, I didn't have a concusion and it was a high speed inpact...I landed face first on the road, even my gloves didn't have a spec of dirt on them.
