erwn8r's right ~ the load comparison between a single cylinder race bike and our street bikes is ... well ... not much of a comparison. To bring it all into focus, my '04 had decent mods (full system, thin head gasket, pc3, air filter) and was run pretty hard, and the only maintenance required by the time she was stolen was in the service manual... new air filter, TPS adjustment, and a valve job/new plugs at about 12k (should have done it at probably 10k, cause the plugs were gettin bad). Theres no "expensive" maintenance that needs to be done. I know some racers that tear their bikes down 3-4 times a season for almost full overhauls, but they're running much tighter tolerances than stock.

anyway, i've learned one thing about gsxr1k's... ride em as hard as you can, they take it and laugh in your face at how much of a wuss you are
