Got 2.2k miles on my '17 GSXR 1000, noticed that the tread pattern on these bad boys does not allow for a center wear bar - how many miles would you guys expect to get out of a rear tire for these? Mine isn't really showing much wear at all

i got 5800km on mine, i do a lot of commuting though. hwy etc, probably going to get the same out of this one on it now (got 9500km on the bike now), basically needs a tyre each service or inbetween, depending on how you ride.

That sounds about right. My rear looked good until i highwayed it for 30 minutes real hard while running a little less pressure than usual. That created a flat spot. It looks like i’ll be done with the rear at 3000/ 3500. Which is in line compared to other tires that i’ve had. The front will go longer.

The rs10 r is what comes on the bike. I tried researching the difference one day and even went on bridgestones website and was still left with questions. I purchased a new rear takeoff on ebay a while back for 80 bucks. Otherwise, im a little weary of buying them. If someone has a link to where the correct tire info is that would be great.

How is the front RS10 in the rain? If you happen to get stuck a little bit in the rain or if the gravel is a little wet. Don't ride if its raining, but I live in Florida so it can rain one part of town for 10 mins then be good. I would like to run the RS10 front to a S21 rear.

I never get two front's to a rear running S21's that is another reason for doing this.

I actually like these tires more than I thought I would. Only have 174miles of hard fast back road use including 15 track laps. I had new DSC sc1/sc2 for it before I even got the bike home and was going to put them on instantly and sell the "bridge-STONES" but running 29/31 psi cold on the street they grip awesome, even at 140* or so

ive ridden mine in torrential downpours, tc on 10, 0 problems.

quick road riding = no problems, i don't go balls to the wall.
quite happy with them, tempted to change to something else just to see if there's any improvement.

my tyres are flat spotted front n rear. not happy about it, they do not like hwy use.

Bridgestone
If you want something that last get s21s.I did a track day in the rain with those and can tell you they grip in the wet and the dry grip has been good. For the street they are plenty of tire. The downside is the turn in is a little slower, but once over they hold the line. The profile is supposed to be optimized for side grip. I have only had one slide with these tires at VIR, turn 7 going in deep, off the line and picking up throttle in the middle of the day. The wear is unbelievable!

Dunlop Q3+ are supposed to provide the best of grip and longevity and I always liked the turnin of the Q3. I have not tried Q3+

I just bought another RS10 rear for track days and once this tire is done I will probably go to Q3+ front and rear.

I've been impressed with the stock RS10's first time I've used them, I've always been a big fan of Pirellis Diablo Rosso Corsa's in the past and these have the same feel. Sounds like peps are getting reasonable mileage to. It's always a case of grip v durability for me I'll always take grip.
