Power Commander removal question

I just bought a used 06 600 and it came with a slip on, K&N filter and Power Commander 3. I was wondering if I remove the power commander, would I be able to keep either the slip on or the filter? Or do I have to remove all of it and go back to a stock filter and muffler?

Thanks.

Might sound dumb but I just would rather not have it. I want the bike as stock as possible and to me the pc3 is just another electronic part that might go bad and cause me problems in the future. Also the guy didn't give me any of the accessories that came with it. I'd rather have the space in the rear compartment back. I figure I could make a few bucks if I sold it for other stuff.

So there should be no side effects if I keep the k&n and slip on after removing it?

They dont take up much room. I installed mine in the side of my tail section turned sideways and you can barely see it. I wouldnt be putting anything where its at to carry it anyway. You dont really need any accessories for it except for the usb cable and maybe the 9volt battery connection. You can buy them for cheap. It wont hurt to run without it, but TRUST me, you'd be better off to use it. Besides, it was basically free.

Also, you don't hear too much about them failing, at least I haven't. Keep water out of it and you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm sure you would be able to tell the difference in throttle response. When I put it on my 600 it was so much more responsive. If it failed, it would seem sluggish, also the lights on it wouldn't work. I wouldnt worry about it failing, it's not a very common issue or people wouldnt buy them like millions have
