Hello everybody. I ended up with a new bike recently, after I was bored at work and went "shopping". I ended up with a white K9 750. Absolutely love the bike. Much better riding position than the last bike I had (Kawasaki ZX6-R). I rode my buddies GSX-R600 and his GSX-R1000 and decided to buy in the middle. I don't understand why anybody would want a liter bike, way too much thinking/control required. To me that takes away some of the freedom/relaxation of riding. I also like corners more than straights so I guess that does come in to play as well.

So far I have done the following mods:

Full M4 exhaust (thinking about changing this out as I like my hearing)
PC V
BMC Filter
Hotbody Double Bubble windscreen
" Rear Fender Eliminator
" Hugger (terrible paint match, not sure if I am going to install this)

Today I ordered (thank you Mottomummy)
ASV C5 levers
-1 Front sprocket
Speed Healer
Gell seat

I have about 1500 miles on the bike now and love it. First thing I did when I bought it was set up the suspension to me and amazingly had to make minimul adjustments.

Took it to the drag strip (its only a couple miles away...why not) a couple times with the best run of 7.0 at 110 (1/8th). Still have a long way to go before I get to where I should be (no I am not stretching or lowering this bike). I would imagine based off the the MPH alone I should be mid 6's or so if I can get my 60ft down.

I have a bunch of pictures that I will load shortly. I am currently TDY to Afghanistan for another week so when I get back I will post those up as well.

If you live in NOVA let me know, always looking for somebody (a reason) to ride.

And yes I have full protective gear so don't worry about that. I seem to like buying helmets though as I keep kicking them across parking lots for some reason...

Welcome to the site. Can't wait to see pics of the bike. Usually I open a thread like this expecting to see:

"Got my first bike today, its a new K16 1000! I got it out on the highway on my way home today and damn does this thing scoot. I went from like 80 to a bijillion miles-a-fuckin-hour in no time. Blasted past the cops and they were all just like wtf.
On another note, I am thinking about buying a helmet as my shades caused my eyes to get irritated when I was doing a bajillion, would you guys recommend icon? Also, can someone help me with my wheelies, I know I have only been riding a few hours, but I really think I can get them down by next weekend as I am a fast learner."

Back to the point, welcome. :cheers

And most of those people end up as the red blotch on the highway that has you wondering what kind of animal it was.
