I think they are high maintenance and possibly diminish resale value as a street bike and it goes without saying that it would be a waste of time for a track bike, but you probably expect me to say that, and I am not trying to start anything.

i wanted to do the frame in flat black but since it was polished i didnt know how well the paint would stick so i left it.

I do like black powder coated frames though.

I am no painter, but I don't think powder coating is dependent upon a surface finish prior to application.

Back k in the day I used a power coater in okc, and I think he was about 250 a frame
