i have a bone stock k8 600 with only 800 miles on her, i weight 230lbs, last night i ran my buddys mustang, its a 120mph car, we went from top of 2nd, ran through 3rd and to the top of 4th, he was side by side the entire time, also im almost for sure that my damn speedo is off cuz it says 155 at top of 4th,

does this sound right?? also how can i fix my speedo cuz i know its off.

whats a quick and easy way to fix my slow ass bike ( besides loose weight, im trying guys)

First off: Don't race in the street, bad bad bnoy.

Second: If you have to know, Speedohealer works well. But honestly, it isn't that necessary.

+1 to allt the above.

For a tubby guy, 600s are weak.

Your ass is fat (I'm within 5# of you). I ride a 7-fiddy for that very reason, and those extra 20 ponies are NICE.

Your speedo is off. They all are. They're ricockulously off if you've changed your gearing. Even without a gearing change, expect at least 10% error. Double that for a -1/+2 setup. So, 140mph actual if stock gearing and 125mph actual if you have -1/+2. Get a speedo healer to correct.

You'll pick up a few ponies at the expense of cruising gas mileage if you get a pipe/K&N/Power Commander and custom tune, but you're talking $700-800 for everything there, and you'll likely be very disappointed at the $ to performance benefit.

If you haven't changed your gearing, go -1/+2, and you'll get about 10-12% more torque on the ground... that's a very noticeable seat-o-the-pants difference.

Lose 30# and that's a 5% improvement in power to weight... :)

Don't race on the street.

230 lbs is nothing. i've seen 250 lbs & up on 600's who can lap the hell out of guys on bigger bikes but if you're talking about down the straight then it is a factor. take it 2 a drag strip instead of the streets or better yet take it to the track to learn how 2 corner

lol i know i know no racing on the street, there wasnt a single car on the road so we did a friendly pull, trust me i know it wasnt the best place and i wont be doing it again because it was stupid, im in the process of dropping weight so yea that should help. and from what i hear the fact that these bikes have cats on them really kills the power and torque of a stock bike.

do you think i will feel a big enough difference over just -1 in front?? is the +2 really worth it??

I love the setup on my 750, and it will power the front wheel up in first even in a tuck, so I would say it's worth it. You can always just try the front, if it's enough, leave it be. If you want MOAR, do the rear too... :)

EEEK.... i bought a 750 and im 140 lbs...

and YEP.. my speedo is off and its bone stock as well.. when im at 80mph, it reads 90 (+/- 1mph).

I think i read somewhere that using speedo healer it will read 5th gear for both 5th and 6th gears.. is that true or am i confusing it with another product?

I believe your mistaken that with TRE and not a speedohealer.
