down once at 20 mph after some rain. was detoured due to a car accident and low-sided. all cosmetic damage. i've come close to going down a few more times, but somehow i recovered every time. lots of guardian angels, i guess.

Went down for the first time saturday evening. Really blows.
sorry to hear that. how are you and the bike doing?

And I still believe the saying that there are 2 kinds of riders, those that have been down, and those that will go down eventually. with the people out there that drive without regard to us, it's almost inevitable. Ride safe guys. ATGATT!!! :D

ok, matters how long you been riding - and if you actually ride the thing. putting around to go to only bike nights in the summer hardly counts for riding.

I never wrecked till i started hitting the track. Now I can't stop (going to the track or wrecking)

Ive dropped mine twice, both times I was run off the road. Damn cagers!!!! My bike is my daily driver, its the only transportation I have, so I get lots of experience with the geriatrics trying to kill me.

I slipped on some leaves while rolling it in the garage lol.
:lol :lol
im sorry man but i have to say that would be kinda funny to see.

I have been down once at about 45mph. bike didnt slide on the road or grass. it decided to ride the curb, so all sorts of stuff got torn to hell. worse road rash i have ever seen on a bike.

Been down 3 times

1st time friend hit me while I was getting ready to take a turn(he thought we were going str8)
2nd time front end washed out on some gravel while braking to swerve from a car semi speeding- then car hit bike after I was thrown from wash out (f'd up thing was it was my buddies bike)
3rd time we had just left from a track day and were riding back to my buddies(same one that hit me the 1st time) and we were dragging around a roundabout while I was stationed in the UK and I just kept leaning her and leaning till finally I leaned her to far and lowslided for about 10ft. Luckily I had race plastics on and frame sliders :)

3 times...

1-I was hit from behind by a car drived by an old fool who needs glasses.
Result on my body:None.
Result on my bike:Thanks to my frame sliders. Some scratches but the guy paid for all my repairs.

2-I did a low side on the street when I lost my rear after sliding on sand in a twisty road.
Result on my body: Broken rib, broken tailbone, sprained shoulder and many contusions. I was wearing my full gear as usual.
Result on my bike with the frame sliders: Broken left mirror, scratch left fairing, broken left rear flasher, broken gear lever, scratch left magneto cover. Not that much actually.

3-I did a low side on the track when I lost my rear end in a small puddle that was not dry yet. I'll take the blame for that one.:rolleyes

Result on my body: no injuries
result on my bike: just a broken gear lever

More to come on the track for sure. On the street hope not!

This is all bad news. I dont plan on going down. Is this strange? If it happens i think it will be from some person causing it though.
I think it's 75% or so of motorcycle accidents are caused by the rider. No one ever plans on going down, but be prepared. If you ride enough it will happen.

And for the record, never been down on the street, but I have on the track. Been run over as a matter of fact, great times.

Been riding almost 20yrs on the street.....have hit it 5 times. Been racing for 11yrs and have hit the track about 6 times....everything from a 50ishMPH lowside to a 90+mph highside.

This would have been a better question is it asked :How many riders have been down and how long have you been riding?
