eew Dan dont sound good. hopefully you broke the land speed record on Orange and the police yanked your license :)

Freddy, good to see you dont have to break apart engine..

Those yellow/green tracer wires are your clutch safety switch, there should be another pair on the right side cluster near the intake tube/blinker area..
They are same plugs m/f the common thing is to bypass the clutch switch and just connect the ones by the blinker together, other wise plug the male clutch-to female y/g near blinker and same for the f/m.
the rear brake i can't help you with at the moment.. but im guessing it ties into same circuit as the front brake wires.. ( same color wires etc..)

I know what you mean about assembling the stuff in the clutch case. I would just be very obsevrant of what's going on as you assemble the shift drum. Springs sometimes fall off right before you throw the cover on or they get put on the wrong tang. Watch the clutch side of the shifter linkage/pawl. I can't remember if our 750's have a clutch stroke adjustment.
Maybe your just not getting the full puch on the pressure plate cause the ball bearing in front of the pushrod is missing?

I don't know, just some things to check, Fred.
Good luck, don't be deterred cause things aren't going smoothly for a moment. It's just par for the course. I bet there will be more to come. And that's not an insult to you, just how it goes. I think this bike had taken a few years off my life expectancy!

Edge, thanks for your words & thoughts...
You guys should know that there is some, of all of you, in this endeavor...
I could not get this done without the help and support you have all given me...

BTW : update #2:
Clutch is all out, and it seems that it is the sequence of parts and the way it was assenbled, that is the culprate, as there is almost no thrust play on the drive shaft... And everything shifts properly...

That does it...I'm changing my name to Bobby so people will give me free boobs too

I know when i pulled my clutch out to replace the factory shift spring, I had a hell of a time getting it back on, I had to really struggle to get it to sit flush with the crank gear, and mating with oil pickup and starter gear. that you cant see and barely able to feel behind the clutch gear thats attached to basket.
