ok, here i am cruisin along at about 48 to 50mph in a 45mph zone. i'm on a long straight deserted backroad. i look in my mirror and see some new red impala (i think) with very dark tinted windows about 8 to 10 feet from my back tire. i'm thinking, what the hell is this guys problem? i motion for him to back off, he doesn't. i then motion for him to go around me, cause i'm already going over the speed limit. he doesn't. i finally get irritated and give her some juice, and try and get some distance from this idiot. i check my mirror again to see him coming on quick with his dash board blue lights on. unmarked state trooper!! i pull right over. he gets out and says "not too smart fella". he then gives me 2 tickets. one for speeding and one for wreckless driving. WTF kinda shit is that. now i have to go to court, all because this prick wouldn't get off my ass. complete bullshit!! :mad

You're still overlooking one important thing.
There's always 3 sides to every story and the judge is only going to believe the 1 told by the Trooper..

Also, why was the reckless ticket issued?
I AGREE 100% ! ! :cheers :cheers
he needs a lawyer. pretty bad

I hate that shiot when cops ride your ass.

The rule is 1 car length for every 10mph OR at least a 2 second distance using a stationary reference point like a sign on the side of the road (ie. the cop should not pass the sign any faster than 2 seconds AFTER the person he is following)

If it was just a matter of trying to read the plate he should not have been tailing him for an extended amount of time...maybe a few seconds, then back off while he runs the plate.

Update:

Spoke with Attorney today. and i quote "this is the third complaint on this officer this year for following too close to a bike, without reason". The attorney even knew the officers name before i even said it. he told me it would be best to let him handle it, and promised he would either have it reduced or thrown out. the best thing he said was they need to take his badge, before he gets somebody killed!!

for those of you who offered support and advice, thank you.

for those of you who called me a liar or said i deserve it. FUCK YOU!!

That is good news for sure. There's no telling how many times he has done it without having a complaint filed against him. Best of luck to you Dbot and keep us posted on the results.
