cold starts to chokes to idles

wold intake cause my bike to idle high from a cold start?

when i choke from a cold start, it idles really high for like a really long time so i am force to release the choke. i know eventually it is suppose to die down to a natural idle but it never does unless i release the choke.

what direction should i start aiming to?

That`s how it works: You choke the bike and it revs high until warm.When it has warmed you turn off the choke.

Ok I was just making sure it does that. I thought it was suppose to rev up then die down then you let go of the choke

Yeah, it's designed to run without the choke. if it is still idling high, maybe adjust the idle screw after it warms up???

from the way it sounds, that seems to be what needs done. but if that dont help, then there is another issue, just not sure what it would be then.
