$200-250 depending on the shop.

Dyno is just a tool that you can use to shop improvement in hp when you make changes to your motor. Lots of people have one done just to see wht hp their bike puts out.

PC3 is used to alter the f/i map (add or subtract fuel) when installing aftermarket air filters, or exhuast systems.

I have a page or two with a bit more info:

i think what jeffw is referring to is the price for a custom map. just a baseline dyno run wuth a/f monitoring should be somewhere in the area of $60 or so.

Price varies depending on your area, the reputation of the shop and the work needed. In my area baselines may cost 100-150 in cali that could be 250+.

Your not even going to get baseline power, meaning just slap the bitch on running and see the numbers. Most shops arent going to waste their time. They want to make some cash on the dyno with tuning.

I dont know if Id even waste my money. Id put it into your mods and then go when you can get a good tune and run.

.

Umm no, many if not most people get a baseline dyno run on the shop dyno where they plan on mapping before their upgrades so they can see what kind of before and after performance they have.

I didnt say people dont do it. I said its pretty impractical, unless you have concern about power loss. If its a new bike, why even do it? If its used, get a leak down comp test done. If it shows up perfect, then you know the motor is a cherry.

I have a buddy that owns/run a local shop. So, I know that he has people that come in and want this done, but he really doesnt see much of a point in doing so.

Im not exactly sure how much whp vs bhp on a bike is, but in a car its roughly 20-30 hp less from the bhp to the wheels.

Avg in UT seems to be around 250. I've had dyno's w/ custom mapps done for @75 in TX though.

Rhetquorken I see your from NC, if your near VIR when they have a race, find "The Dyno Guys". They set up a dyno at the track and will do a mapp and a couple runs for under $50. Obviously they're not going to tune it like a tuning shop will but for the price you can't beat it.

around here just to strap the bike to a dyno is $50 and you will get a couple pulls for your baseline. my custom map was $250 witch was over 30 pulls 3.5 hours with a few breaks for cool down. i was in the dyno room the whole time and that trc is very loud in a enclosed area.
