I took my 02 gsxr 600 out today, and it would not shift right. It would only shift between first and second gears. When i pulled up hard it finally made it to third and fourth. But it would only go between two gears, either first and second or third and fourth, but never more than two. I have never dropped the bike or had any problems with it. It rode perfect the last time i rode it. any thoughts would be helpful.

Try putting your bike on an rear stand and run your bike, shift thru the gears and see what is going on.
check the lever that is under the dent star. I had the same problem pulled the clutch and notice the lever that is postion in the dent star was not sitting properly. Instead of sitting on the roller it was sitting off to the side which keep it from shifting. I replaced the lever and spring and my problem went away. hope this help:cheers
