What would you do with this bike?

Was hit a few months ago and could have totaled it out but the damage was strictly front end and opted to fix and keep the title clean. 2018 600, w/ 1900 miles, new tires, nice basic protection mods, it felt wrong to total it.

Had new forks installed with seal kit and new head bearings, new rotors, new wheel, radiator, vortex clip ons, stabilizer, new oem upper and lower triple and bolted the speedo up and here we are about $2500 later.

I'm lost if i turn this into a full fledged clean title track bike with fairings, or keep it as you see it and throw a street fighter headlight on and then use on the track 10-15 times next year with the occasional commute to work. What would you do?

Bike is too clean not to have fairings IMO.

if the insurance wants to total it......then buy it back from the insurance for a fraction of the cost. i agree put some clothes on and turn it into a track bike. i have four bikes....did the same thing.

This is the repaired bike. Was going to total it but insurance said 3k salvage buy back which seemed high, so kept it clean titled and told them to send a check for the repair.

4 bikes! I wouldn't know what to do with myself haha.

have a question for you. did the frame get crooked? did you run the specs to make sure the frame is good? i always wonder about front end collisions or damages.

i took one of my bikes to run front end specs....paid $450 then another $725 to the insurance to buy it back.

parts was about $1000 ....but i enjoy evey hour i spent putting it together.

You must finish it. There are lots of fairings on ebay. I saw some black ones that might work but since you have time to wait for spring you might find something the right color.

I'm becoming a hoarder with projects floating around, need put that garage floor epoxy down for starters.

No the frame is good, hit wasn't that hard, maybe 25 mph. The headlight, front wheel and fairings took most of the impact and were destroyed. The shop who repaired it is huge on safety, so he would've said something if anything was slightly tweaked or out of line.

So track fairings? Or street? I don't want to steal your spot having the cleanest track bike at ttd.

The big problem with track fairings is no headlight for street use. You can easily put mirrors on and take off as needed, same with signals which technically arent required in ct but are nice to have.

do what i did with one of my track bikes.......i do ride it on the block to get the oil and fuel rolling....it works every time.

it is an after market light. very bright to say the least.

That's an assumption and a dangerous one at that. The frame needs to be measured, not just eyeballed.

Sure, actually a good idea as long as it doesn't shake loose and cause a world of hurt. I haven't set my new gix up with a setup like that, how sturdy are those stands? Nice lookin bike by the way.

it is a very strong light...very bright as well. it is mounted on the front bracket fairing....it does not shake. i picked it up front one of the off road shops that sell stuff for jeeps.

the two stands for my 96 750 gixxer...i purchased the set back in 2000 from Suzuki. they are actually a a suzuki brand that fits my old gixxer. they are very sturdy....i can sit on my bike on stands.

What would you do with this bike?
