I'm planning on doing several things this winter, on my new to me K5 LiterBike.
- entire clutch adjustment
- change oil and filter
- check on coolant and levels
- look over my bike for the first time with the fairings off
- get the forks off and have seals changed.
- test my head bearings for play with the wheel up
- etc.
So, I'm also going to hang the front in my newly installed eyebolt in my garage to take my forks out and have the seals done, left one is leaking a bit.
So, after reading over the service manual, I start the task of removing my side farings.
What a PITA!
I had a '97 R750 for a short time, and the fairing removal was MUCH easier!!
** I left the lower cowling in the middle, and managed with some difficulty to get the side fairings off.
** Question?
Is that how most people do it?
** Also, how do you get the brake lind guide off of or out of the rear of the fender?
