Thanks for the advice guys - I'll be sure to look after :) It was listed on Ebay and I had it taken down quickly after I made an offer. It's taken me a long time to find the one I want. I've tried to buy two I've seen on the road and the owners wouldn't sell them. Couldn't miss out on this one.

When I bought mine a couple of years ago it had only 6000km's on it , one owner ... Still had Tyres it came from factory on it !!!!

Still got the photo of when I bought it , got to the bloke place at midnight , had to drive through gale force winds and servere thunderstorms to get it !!!!

I had brought an open bike trailer , was a nervous drive home esp being over 4.5 hours away !!!

^^^ Nice purchase story! I can picture the excited drive TO the bike... and nervous, anxious drive home WITH the bike! :)

...on a side note, I only got 1,497 miles out of my original rear tire... and never much over 2,000 out of ANY rear tire on my '03! DOH! :D

I too like to hear people's stories ... It was Murphy's law actually , I had been looking for a long time and couldn't find a good one !!!

When I finally gave up , this popped up but I had to act fast to get it ... I had worked a 14 hour day and was half asleep hahahaha ... I'm tired just thinking about it again !!!

Was well worth it but !!!

Not sure if I shared this story before but I bought mine in 2006 after about six months of searching the classifieds. It only had 400km on the clock. The original owner was diagnosed with arthritis in his wrists and knees two weeks after he took delivery of it when it was brand new. So he only rode it a few kilometers every now and then so it does not sit in the garage. Then he finaly decided to get a bike more suitable for him and he traded it in for another bike at the dealership where I bought it from.

400km's !!!! Awsum ... Funny mine was owned by an older gentleman also.

But this guy happened to be dating a much younger woman , bought the bike to impress her ... Needless too say they broke up and the bike sat hahaha !!!!!

Lol some people get hit with a midlife crisis a bit late. I guess he was all show no go haha

Im really thinking of painting mine all white and these pictures are making it worse
You will have to put some kind of graphics on it. At least the GSXR logo in Red. Solid colors with nothing on it is like staring at a blank canvas.

I've been a member on this site for years. However, I've never posted any photos of my K4. So, here it goes. I took these photos a couple years ago while she was in her street clothes. I have also raced my K4 extensively in local club road racing events as well as attended numerous track days.

Here are a few photos of my K4 in race trim. My best finish was at Homestead Miami Speedway during a very wet CCS race event in the summer of 09'. I placed 5th out of 30 plus riders! I was disappointed that I was only 2 positions away from a podium.

Thanks on the compliments guys. That GSXR themed helmet is very rare now. I don't wear it very often anymore. There was a thread in this forum a few years ago about it. I wish someone would apply similar graphics to a new Shoei or Arai helmet. :cheers
