I just picked up this 05 GSXR and its missing a few parts as you will see in the video, I did figure out that the chain cover is only held in with one screw and two plastic rivets but cannot find the missing bolts attaching the rear section or what they are called. any help would be appreciated
Thanks

also, have your dealer do a master cylinder recall on your bike, it's free. yep, need manual cct or a new oem, oe cct will require less attention until it goes, obviously. chain guard is held in place mostly by plastic push pin rivets and one screw, somebody installed 2 screws instead of them. here's an idea - if you see anything missing, just go to online parts fiche and find out how it's supposed to look like. ronayers.com will help.

Has anyone done the manual cct without pulling the valve cover?
Looks like you can pull the old oem one and install new manual cct and adjust for a *certain depth till it touches timing chain, then adjust as needed without all that hassle

You don't need a new CCT. It sounds fine. They were just hearing an echo. Videos online are the absolute worst way to share a noise for that very reason.

You don't need a power commander until you start changing the intake or exhaust.

Go to mrcycles.com and look at the parts fiche. You can find everything you need by picutre and their customer service is second to none.

The echo makes sense as I was in my building with the door open, I couldn't hear anything standing by the bike while it's running, thought maybe they were picking up on something I wasn't, this is my first inline 4 and was hoping if I take care of it, it will last 20k more miles for me.

The older GSX-Rs had issues with the CCT. The 04 and up do not. Because of the previous problems, whenever people hear engine noise, they say it's the CCT.
