Crisp, if you get desperate, I will sell you this one :biggrin

No seroiusly..I thought about dumping it but instead, taking it into it's tenth season.

I found a guy parting a low mile K3 like mine on e-bay and bought almost everything except Motor and main frame lol.

Forks ,shock refreshed by Traxxion. New chain, sprockets, brake lines.

Note: Arai Viper Gt (Thunder White) all the way from Italy.

Congrats on New Bike JP. A wise Man's choice
Are those brembros? :droolOn the stock forks?! What bike are they off of? Was it a hard mod? Tell me how you did it?!

Gosh well,

Those are the Brembo HP's made specifically for Japanese sportbikes. They have been out for years. The spacers to accommodate larger rotors were provided by the Company I bought the rotors from..Braketech.

These combined with even a low Priced Brembo radial MC should provide all the stopping power you need.

Im just going to have to post another pic of my bike to get this thread going in the right direction.

As far as these street-fighter bikes go, not my cup of tea.:thumbdown Total waste of a good bike if you ask me, but thats just my opinion. Sorry to offend those who have them but I'm sure a majority of the people who subscribe to this thread would agree with me.:fact Don't want to take this thread on a tangent, but to each their own I guesss.

Maybe their should be another thread just for those particular bikes.

Very nice:thumbup though I don't think I'm to the point of using these calipers to their potential it would be nice to have one day.

Ok FighterMac,

It looks like you have some nice pieces on the bike..forks ,wheels, rotors, exhaust etc. and I'm sure it goes well but....

This is the second time you have shown us this tail and to be honest, I thought the first post was a joke especially since your first attempt with the Ducati tail looked quite good.

Without taking this the wrong way and even if you don't give a hoot what people think, I must know now.. why you would arrange the tail section in this manner? What is it about it that you like or.. if it serves a particular purpose, what would that be ?

Perhaps a few different angles will help us to understand.

The large canister is also a curious object...and it's location.

thx G
ur right I don't give a hoot what people think.
guess this is the wrong site to be putting up pic's of my fighter.
if you need to ask you don't need to know:phhht
bye bye.....

Do it crisp.... You can't be afraid all your life.:lmao
crisp... AFRAID? LOL! I have a built Gamma and two built Gix oilers... I'm not afraid... I'm nuts with buyer's restraint and a wife I'm trying to keep! :)

...of course, at a petite 89lbs, I'm scared to death of her! ;)

I too would love to hear how and why you did it ...
fightermc,

Don't be too sensitive about the peanut gallery remarks... it's not about us, and our curiosity MAY be worth whetting with a logical or ILLogical basis for your taste... or NO need to justify at all, but no need to dismiss us or your taste nor presence in spite or angst, methinks. ;)

You have and posted an '03/'04 based bike. 'Nuff said, to each his own! :)

Well said crisp and hopefully taken to heart.

Now, I don't belong in the peanut gallery lol cause I truly want to understand the beast. I mean, maybe I should like it.

Although perceived to be awkward looking, it's immensely trick. Look close at some of the parts. (hope you don't mind FMC)

Also , I don't dislike these fighters. I can totally understand the desire to create something personel..I could give many reasons why I like the look of my rig and it ain't shit lol.

No, I don't think so..one is enough to worry about.

The bike is adequate as is and I've decided to sacrifice all out handling for the added measure of security.

Having even just the rear is a still a big boost for me though and would hate to lose it. It's all decked out with Ceramics bearings and 520 kit.

G,

Certainly no disrespect intended by "peanut gallery". ;)

...I include myself and ALL relative general comments, as in the "gallery of guys and gals" who are out here with commentary. :)

Good stuff, to be a motorcyclist... one and all.

I too took offense to your 'peanut gallery' remark ... If your brave enough to put your pics up ... Be prepared for feedback good or otherwise !!!

As stated this is a picture thread on a public forum ... There's no need for him to be so defensive !!!!

LOL! And likewise, so defensive over the "peanut gallery" remark! No need for either, perhaps?

Needless to say... cyber-skin runs thin on all fronts these days, and the internet savvy amongst us either wields it with deft indifference or defines it with diplomatic delineation... pick your wine of wit or vinegar of vehemence with deliberate intent, and the outcome is usually anecdotal or acrimonious.

Let it be said, I for one, choose the sweet elixir of wine, and hope my toast goes on record as a tip toward benevolence, and not the sting of a sour note as has been cast.

On with pics of good looking bikes.:thumbup

Look up the meaning of peanut gallery ... It usually means remarks that are made by those that aren't spose to be heard from and are in a sup-par group , so yes I took offense !!!!
Fuck me there's some winners on here ATM ....

Yes! On with with the bike pics that we are so passionate about

......and for those who are hurt by our opinions, get over it and don't be such a little b**ch about our remarks and takes some midol. Public forum here.... People will voice opinions that will unintentionally offend others. Just because the views of others that may not coincide yours doesn't mean you have to take it personal. It is what is..... take things with a grain of salt and move on.

Now back to the bikes.....

A peanut gallery was, in the days of vaudeville, a nickname for the cheapest (and ostensibly rowdiest) seats in the theater, the occupants of which were all too willing (in the view of the performer) to heckle.[1]

^^^ LOL! Quite certain I understand the meaning, and used it without malice. Further, I clarified the context with full and sincere intent to mend any misinterpretation, perceived or implied alike.

My UTMOST apologies if anyone INSISTS to take offence despite my best efforts to be "cool" about it. Moving on now...

Back to bikes! :)

Crisp, I forgive you and always will.

FMC baited us into throwing the peanuts though.
