Something I hate....is when perfectly stock bikes are turned into, THIS.

Was this a perfectly stock bike or was it a rebuild?

but, to each their own.

go for it.

A lot of interesting bikes....

Yea but yours is the prettiest. :cheers

Any thoughts of retiring the BST's JP?

I still have my rear and recently inspected it as best I could without a microscope .... it still looks perfect but build date was 2005 lol.

I've done some research but , It seems how long they actually may last (depending on use) will always be a mystery.

Impressive long road journey Nemesus.

Thanks Gixan, you always have an eye for detail and class. :cheers

You still had the best idea for the 05-06 tail section. Man that looked sweet and still to this day I have never seen anyone else have that but you.

The BST's still look like new, so I won't be retiring them anytime soon. I love them wheels...

You still have yours? Mine is still in immaculate condition and I'm about to buy a new GSXR 1K or BMW s1000rr in July. I'm leaning more towards the Suzuki though. I told myself that when I get the Suzuki, I'm only going to put on a exhaust system. Well maybe port the head and cams too.:yumyum

Thx JP..

I commend you for having been so patient also but the lure to buy something new is strong , even though you know deep down that what you've got right now is as good as anything.

It's may turn out being a tough choice as the Bimmer has evolved but the Suzook is extremely solid to.

Damn, I MISS my '03!!! I'd be lying if I said I don't regret selling it to a local buddy a couple years ago... now I'm back to "all retro", not that it's a BAD thing... roots and all, but since I always watch this thread and what you guys keep posting on the '03s you have, I can't help but think back with fond memories to my sweet ride. Nothing major, Yosh cams, race gasket/compression, Ti full system, TEKA tuned, Arata rearsets and so-forth... it was a really nice bike! On the other hand, closing in on FIFTY in a couple short years now, and I've found myself less likely to seek out that 186 on a digital readout, heck, forgoing the speedo ALTOGETHER for that matter... and LOVING the cacophony of aural symphony from our old-school brethren in the ring-dinger FrankenGamma and FrankenRacer beasts that still adorn my garage! Hopefully, I'll get the FrankenGIXER build sorted out yet one of these days, and actually WHOMP one of these fuel-injected marvels on the straight-away rural ribbons of my local Midwestern riding territory where all that handling does little for you aside from a whirl on the on/off ramps of the Interstate! HA!

Carry on, fellow riders... and enjoy those wonderful era machines of the '03 gen... still one of my favorite late-model 'zooks for graphics and style alike!

Those are very nice Crisp. My good friend has two 86 GSXR 750's-- a black/red and the other is blue/white. The blue/white is bored out to over 1100cc's and is a torque moster. He out runs a lot of the newer bikes with that thing. I think it's funny how people under estimate him just because his bike is old. The look on their faces when he runs by them is hysterical.

I just bought me a new blue/white GSXR 1000; it was a smoking deal that I couldn't pass up.

Very Nice collection Crisp !

Gamma looks especially pure.
Thanks, Gixan! The Gamma is pretty special...:punk

JP, I have '87 Black/Red bodywork and tank for my current FrankenGixer build to go with the Blue/White FrankenRacer (shown). The FrankenGixer is 1255cc Carillo rods, full motor and so forth, and we are calculating 180+ rwhp when it's fired. Can't WAIT to walk a few FI machines with the old iron!

I just looked at the Million Commemorative Gix at Competition Accessories in Springfield Ohio the other day on a business trip return drive home. Almost want to put one in a case and just "sit on it" for 20 years.:biggrin

...I'm a sucker for the "classic, simple, clean" graphics that adorn the "old-school" machines, and the Commemorative scheme sorta captures it.:yumyum

Beutiful bike! The K3-K4's are the best models.

Crisp, if you get desperate, I will sell you this one :biggrin

No seroiusly..I thought about dumping it but instead, taking it into it's tenth season.

I found a guy parting a low mile K3 like mine on e-bay and bought almost everything except Motor and main frame lol.

Forks ,shock refreshed by Traxxion. New chain, sprockets, brake lines.

Note: Arai Viper Gt (Thunder White) all the way from Italy.

Congrats on New Bike JP. A wise Man's choice

finished for now and goes like fook
Ok FighterMac,

It looks like you have some nice pieces on the bike..forks ,wheels, rotors, exhaust etc. and I'm sure it goes well but....

This is the second time you have shown us this tail and to be honest, I thought the first post was a joke especially since your first attempt with the Ducati tail looked quite good.

Without taking this the wrong way and even if you don't give a hoot what people think, I must know now.. why you would arrange the tail section in this manner? What is it about it that you like or.. if it serves a particular purpose, what would that be ?

Perhaps a few different angles will help us to understand.

The large canister is also a curious object...and it's location.

thx G
