Yes, but it would be downgrading. The 4-pistons on the 750 (and 600) are actually better than the 6-pistons from the 01-02 1000.

If you want better brakes, clean the ones you have thoroughly, maybe put in new seals, swap the lines to steel ones and swap the pads if needed.

What makes them so bad..I've heard they suck but I was curious.. is it just bad design or something?

6-pistons spread out the pressure too much, making them feel vague. Hardly any sportbikes from the past 10 years have used 6-pistons. The only exception I can think of is the current R1 but that has way smaller pistons to avoid the pressure spread.

Also, those long pads tend to wear more on the leading edge (leading in relation to the rotor so the bottom edge) than the shorter 4-piston pads.

Another issue is that 6-pistons are quite a bit heavier and that's unsprung weight. Granted, the average street rider won't feel that weight difference but still.

nice 1 svs ive got race pads in ive been told to put standatrd ones what do you think
If you ride on the street, use sinter metal street pads. Race pads are great on a racetrack where they are kept hot but on the street they feel wooden since they never get up to operating temperature. Right tool for the job :cheers
