Yeah, 98 engine came off from a bike running, all I did is just bolt on an plug all connectors, I change the neutral sensor too. But now that you mention do I have to put the startor of the 2000 engine that I took off and put it in the 98 engine? Also the ECU/CDi I am using the same one that engine 2000 is using. Since I thought the are the same engine.
wait, back up a bit here

you had a COMPLETE running 98 srad and installed an engine from a 2000?

we need to know if the platform you are fitting the 2000 into was initially a good running bike or if it had any issues?

also if you could briefly tell us what prompted the swap?

If you want to test for spark, take the plug out, connect it to the stick coil like it would be in the engine, and hold the tip of the plug about 1/16th to 1/8th in. away from the engine block to ground it out. You should see a spark jump the gap. Other than that, just check all of your connections everywhere. The starter should not need to be changed back to the '98, as long as it fits it should work, that should have no effect on the bike not starting if it cranks over.

Ok here is an update lol, I change the spark plugs for a new ones, I check and clean each connectors, put sea foam in the tank, clean the out side of the engine, I left the wack battery charging more the normal that I did before, check each fuse, and replace 2 blown fuse, the signals one and the high beam head lights. And here is my veridict believe it or not the bike turn for 2 min and stale then the battery could not turn it on again cuz it was low in charge, so I need a new Battery... Then the odometer and gauges got fix too. It was a fuse. Now ..... I need to get a good battery what you guys Reccomend? And where to buy it.... I am going to pay the membership also to be a primium member.

Thanks for the help and tips fellas!!!

For the price, might as well go with something like an Alien Motion lightweight. They are not much more than a good Yuasa, or Interstate OEM replacement battery. DO NOT get a cheap battery like a bike master, or any of the other cheap brands at places like wal mart etc. They often cause strain on the charging system and costly repairs.
