I have a 2000 gsxr 750, I have had the battery checked, it is good, but in order for me to start it I have to jump it or sit it on a charger, Then I can ride, but if I turn the bike off, it wont start again unless it's jumped, what could it be? stator/rectifier? ecu?

I don't have a lot of experience with bike charging systems but on cars sometimes that situation happens when the starter is going bad. The starter starts to fail internally causing it to draw too much off the battery for starting. Maybe you can find how much the battery should dip under starting and hook a volt meter up to the battery to start to see if there is too much draw.

Make sure the battery connections are secure/clean.
I wounld have the battery condition rechecked..
Next:
Check the battery voltage when the bike is running, should be ~14v @4000+rpm.
If the volts dont come up to this value, disconnect the alternator from the R/R, start engine and check the AC volts between all 3 wires @ 4000rpm (1-2, 2-3, 1-3), ya need ~60+v on all 3 sets. if ya dont get these readings the stator is shot.. if these readings are good, the R/R is shot..
DO NOT/NEVER disconnect the battery when the bike is running.

luck

How long have you tried riding after you boost it? If your changing system was shot then you would only ride for so long and then the bike would die. But if it is just the connection to the battery then you would only see the issue when you start it.

It could still be the battery that is bad . Have someone perform a load test on the battery if it wasn't done before . http://www.ehow.com/how_7427333_load-test-motorcycle-battery.html
I had to replace my battery last year . When I would measure it with everything turned off the battery tested out fine . But after riding for a while if I stopped and turned the bike off it wouldn't restart unless the bike sat for a while . Once I changed out the battery it worked great .

Thanks everyone, will give those a try. but I only rode it for about a hour and it never starts back up even if it sits for a while unless it gets jumped, and no I have never disconnected the battery while it's running. Thanks guys

1 Hour ride when you had to boost it to start it, sounds like the battery.
