I like the suspensions upgrades.

My 7/11W also has some newer suspensions (gsxr 1000 k5 k6 forklegs and gsxr 750 k7 rear shock).

The bike isnt quiet a beauty yet but that will change (one day :lmao).

The mission now is to get the functional part of the bike right, and to make it a very fast monster without major engine work :cheers

Holy farmer John batman that bike looks like its heavy. Is it? Im not a fan of watercooled but the fact its a 711 thats cool. I like if you followed the paint scheme to the tail section. I never ridden a watercooled early gixxer. Wheres the pipe?

Ol' School, the forks look pretty cool. Nice thing about paint is that its easy to strip if you get tired of it. I have been painting my own wheels for the past few years but now that I have a friend with a powder coating shop I really appreciate powder a lot more and have seen how much better it holds up over time. I also love anodizing but I was told that you can only do hard anodizing in black. Anodizing in colors tends to fade in the sun and not sure if there's anything you can do about it except always ride your bike at night. have you had any better experiences?

Powder coating for me as well for rims. Have done it on about 4 sets of track wheels for my car and they still look brand new years later. Much more durable then paint.

Forks look great. That bikes gonna be a MFer when its done.

Well the W are a bit heavy yes.

Pipe is located on the other side ;)

I hope to keep the weight as low as possible but still they remain heavy beasts, none the less powerfull ones :cheers

Here's a vid btw:

See like I said a big pain in the ass to do it "right". Thats a nice bike. what colors are the fairing gonna be?
Yes huge PITA for sure. You are doing it right by not removing clamps to either paint or coat. I did it to have the sliders DLC coated but would think twice about doing it again.

It will be black/grey/silver mostly stock 89 colors.

Damn my friend thats sick looking black stallion. I love those colors and 90 blue and white 1100 and 92 GSXR 1100 red and black tiger stripe. You sir have a sweet ride and I will say the forks make a hellavu difference in appearance. :cheers What kind of rotors are those. Did you black chrome the slider part of the forks? They dont look chrome to me.More pictures of the bike please.

It was still a test drive, not realy a test for performance.

So probaly not red line indeed but i reckon still 10K rpm at least.

I have flatslide carbs that need a little adjustment becaus they are tricky to use ;)

The bit of road i drove on was about 500m which i completed in about 9s, dont know if thats fast tho.

Thanks man, real compliment coming from the wizard himself. I am also making up a complete second set in the 90 1100 blue white colors. I'd do your black widow colors too but something sacraligious (damn where's that Asian spell check girl when you need her) about mixing gen colors I think. I'm sick like most here.

The sliders are DLC coated (diamond like coating) from an industrial plating company Ionbond in NC. Sorta looks like black chrome. I was looking for a deep black like the K year stockers but got this. Supposed to be super hard and smooth. Its good too I like it.

Ow i've got a question towards the guys with a 1100 engine that has a yoshimura duplex exhaust.

Can someone give some measurments of the canisters themself and where they are located?

A picture is greatly appriciated.

I am currently trying to replicate the duplex system on my modified 4-1 exhaust from an oil cooled 1100.

Theres Chris out in MotoGPwerks already duplicated a nicely made and fabricated pipe replica for RZ CB and our oil cooled gixxers. Call him up theres limited stock. The pipes havent been marketed yet. When I saw what he made I was grining like leperchaun who found is chest of cold coins. The pipes are amazing looking and freaking badass. RZ in particular are toomey replicas all stainless raw steel look with a better tip in my opinion. The oil cooled design exhaust has the springs on the header just like the oldschool yoshimura and tip looking awesome. Save your cheese when those pipes hit the internet everyone and their moma will want one. Thats insider news my friend. I love your bike the swing arm is very eye catching and detailed. I love that black sprocket up against the gold chain. Nice move.

The good thing about a black swing arm is it hides all the chain lube thats gets thrown everywhere. Brightlogic has a bike with old 86 red and black painted on 91 or 92 GSXR 1100.. Looks sick! But you got the best colors for your bike right now.
