hi all a little background i used to have a 08 cbr 1000 rode for 3 years do to fiancal reasons i sold her sadly. well im getting back into riding i found a 06 gsxr 600 with 14k miles on it for 4k only thing done to it is -1+3 so milage is actually lower. its what i can afford as much as i want a 1k just wondering if its a good deal and how the lil 600 does for a dd and maybe a passenger thanks all

Sounds like a reasonable price depending on your part of the country. Riding season is coming to an end in a lot of places so prices are down.

i paid 4k for my 06' 600. i only have -1/stock on mine. its plenty fast. taking off, revving it to 15k-ish rpm's feels like the front tire gets a little loose. thats in 1st and 2nd gear though. strictly for road use i don't see the point of getting anything over a 600.

Actually the other way 'round works way better. Larger displacement on the street for more torque and less shifting, smaller displacement at the track for less stupid.
